Karpagam Academy of Higher Education (KAHE), Tamil Nadu, commonly known as Karpagam University offers the research programmes i.e. Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) programme in the diciplines of Tamil, English, Electronics, Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science, Biotechnology, Commerce, Pharmacy, ECE, Civil Engg., and Mechanical Engg.

Karpagam University Ph.D Eligibility

The university offers Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Full-time as well as Part-time modes: 

Candidates should possess Master’s degree with at least 55% marks in the relevant discipline from Karpagam University or any other University recognized as equivalent thereto.

Candidates working in organizations (Industries, Research and Educational Institutions, etc.,) other than Karpagam University are eligible to enrol for Part-time Ph.D. programme only

Candidates seeking Ph.D admission in interdisciplinary subject (Computer Science / Management / Environmental Science / Biotechnology / Life Science or any other) shall have post-graduate degree in the subject concerned subject

Karpagam University Ph.D Admission Process

Admission for Ph.D programme will be made twice in a year i.e., January and July. Candidates will be shortlisted for admission to research programme based on their qualifying examination merit as well as entrance test and interview conducted to assess their aptitude for research and academic competence. The candidates selected for admission to the Ph.D. programme shall be required to submit attested photocopy of the certificates upon verification of the original certificates.

Note: For NRI applicants, entrance test and interview will be conducted online and the result may be announced through email.

How to Apply?

Application forms can be downloaded from the university website and should be submitted upon completion, along with the processing fee of INR 750 through demand draft (DD). DD should be drawn in favour of “Karpagam University” and payable at Coimbatore.

Application forms can also be obtained in person from the university office on payment of concerned fee. Candidates can also send the processing fee of INR 800 along with a request letter to the university and obtain the application form through post.
