Tripura University Admissions
Tripura University takes online applications only. It admits students in numerous undergraduate, postgraduate, certificate and PHD courses. The admissions are based on marks obtained in NTA’s CUET. Moreover, if there are vacant seats left in a course, Tripura University considers the non-CUET applications for admissions. Only the top 3 rank-holders in the previous degree will be considered in the CUET-exempted category.
Once the student applies online, they must wait for the university to release a provisional merit list. The shortlisted candidates have to appear for an on-campus document verification. - Biotech Hub: In September 2015, Honorable Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Science & Technology and Earth Sciences, inaugurated the DBT-sponsored State Biotech Hub. This Hub has expanded training programs in various fields of biotechnology. Hub provides seminars, workshops, and other events for students, researchers, and teachers. Trainees with current scientific knowledge are taught modern biological research procedures.
- University Central Library: The Central Library has three storeys with a total area of 5415 square meters. Its current normal operations take about 2715 square meters. The Library has a total sitting capacity of 250 people.On the first floor, there is a well-equipped Online and Audio Video Browsing Center where patrons can use the internet and library-subscribed online resources. They can also use the library's CD/DVDs.
- Tripura University has its own Health Centre, which is staffed by two full-time doctors (male and female), two nurses, a medical laboratory attendant, and a female attendant to serve students, teachers, employees, officers, guests, and their families. A separate facility has been set aside for this purpose, with some beds equipped with saline and oxygen. Furthermore, the University has an ambulance equipped with basic medical equipment to transport patients to surrounding hospitals in the event of an emergency.
- Hostel Accommodation: Outstation students, distant areas of the region, and economically disadvantaged classes are given with fully computerized internet-enabled hostel facilities. There are currently two hostels for women and men, with 60 and 110 seat capacity, respectively.
