DSVV, also known as, Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya was established in 2002, located at Shantikunj near Haridwar city. The university is affiliated to the University Grants Commission of India (UGC), Distance Education Council (DEC) and Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).

Selection of the candidates to UG and PG courses offered by the university is done through an Entrance Test followed by Personal Interview. For Ph.D., candidates are selected on the basis of entrance examination followed by research deliberation.
The university offers B.Sc, B.A, B.Ed, BCA, BBA and B.Voc with a duration of three years.
Candidates are required to hold a 10+2 level or equivalent degree from a recognized board to satisfy the eligibility criteria. The selection of the candidates in UG programs is offered through an Entrance Test followed by Personal Interview.

The university offers MA, M.Sc, M.A. / M.Sc and PG Diploma programs in various disciplines at the PG level. PG courses are offered for a duration of two years, while PG Diploma is offered for a duration of one-year. Candidates need to hold a Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks from any recognized university following 10+2+3 course pattern for minimum eligibility.

The university offers MBA and MCA with a duration of two and three years respectively.
Candidates need to have a Bachelor’s level degree with minimum 50% marks from any recognized university following 10+2+3 course pattern to satisfy the eligibility criteria of MBA and MCA programs. Candidates interested in MCA program need to have Mathematics as one subject in 12th standard to apply for the relevant program.
The selection of the candidates in PG programs is done through an Entrance Test followed by Personal Interview.
The university also offers MCA Lateral entry for which candidate must pass BCA/ B.Sc. (CS) or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology with 50% marks in aggregate.

The university offers research based course, Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) focusing in Journalism and Mass Communication holding a duration of one year.
