In 2018, Aliah University admissions involved an entrance exam with 80 multiple-choice and 2 essay questions, followed by an interview. The admission process started with a notification in March and concluded by June 28. The university boasts a highly qualified faculty, with each department having an average of 8 professors who are engaging and supportive. Tuition fees for the English Department are modest, with 1500 INR for odd semesters and 1200 INR for even semesters. M.A. courses have an admission fee of 3500 INR, effectively reduced to 2000 INR after a refund. Exam fees remain under 2000 INR per semester. Placement opportunities are developing, with companies like Wipro and Amazon hiring some students, while others have secured government jobs. However, the placement program mainly benefits Science and Business streams. Additional opportunities exist, such as the UGC NET qualification and a content writing internship.
