Calcutta University MCA Eligibility Criteria

Applicants who are seeking admissions to MCA programs at Calcutta University should make sure to meet the following eligibility criteria.

• The candidate should be a citizen of India
• Applicant should have a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in any discipline under a 10+2+3 pattern under a Board/University/Institute
• Applicant should have mathematics as one of the subjects at each level of his education
• Candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% score at each level of their education
• Candidates of the SC/ST category have some relaxation in the minimum score
• There is no age limit for applying to the course
• The aspirant applying must be a permanent resident of the state of West Bengal
• Final year students who are awaiting their results can also apply

Calcutta University MCA Admissions

Admissions to the University will be made on the basis of the score in the WB JECA exam. If some seats are left vacant after that counselling of WB JECA, then the University conducts its own examination.

The written test will consist of 50 marks of 1hour duration. The questions will be MCQ type. Duration and comprising of the following marks break up:
