IIT Jodhpur MDes XR Important Dates

IIT Jodhpur MDes XR Eligibility Criteria

All applicants need to fulfill the following two criteria:

1. A valid CEED 2023 score
2. A passing grade in the qualifying degree

IIT Jodhpur MDes XR Qualifying Degrees

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design/Engineering/Architecture/Interior Design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four-year Bachelor’s course). Note: B.Plan. considered equivalent to B.Arch. Four-year B.Sc (Engg) course after HSC is considered equivalent to BE/B.Tech.
• Professional Diploma in Design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four-year diploma program). 
• BFA (4 Year professional program with entry after 10+2). 
• GD Art (4-year program after 1-year foundation. Minimum entry requirement 10th pass) Additionally, one year of professional experience in design areas is required.
• Master’s Degree in Arts, Science (3+2 years program with entry after 10+2). 
• Master’s Degree in Computer Application (3 years or 2 years in case of lateral entry to the second year after the BCA program with entry after 10+2+3 years for graduation).
• Or an equivalent degree as decided by IIT Jodhpur.

IIT Jodhpur MDes XR Selection criteria

IIT Jodhpur MDes XR Selection Criteria are as follows:

• The applicant’s CEED score. (80% weightage)
• Statement of purpose. (submitted with the application, 20% weightage)

IIT Jodhpur MDes XR Selection Criteria

• Applicants are required to fill out the Application through the official Website Of the Institute.
• The fellowship Score Card mentioned in the application form is your CEED Score Card.
• Documents you will need to upload:
  • Your passport photo - JPEG, less than 200KB
  • Your signature - JPEG, less than 200KB
  •  Education pass certificates (Class X onwards) - PDF, less than 500KB, each
  • Statement of purpose - PDF, less than 500 KB
  •  Category certificate (if applicable) - PDF, less than 500 KB
• If you are applying for both institute-sponsored and self-sponsored seats, you must fill out two forms. First, fill out the institute-sponsored seat in all respects, and then you can use the "Application No to copy" field on the Dashboard to replicate the filled form.

IIT Jodhpur MDes XR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE AND AWARDS

All Institute-sponsored seats will be given the following assistantships:

• Rs 12,400 per month from the institute 
• Rs 5,000 per month from the Government of India’s Technology Innovation Hub (TIH)

CGPA award for self-sponsored students

• The self-sponsored student with the highest CGPA at the end of the year will be given a cash prize of Rs 50,000

Best project awards 

• The top three degree projects in the fourth semester will be given Rs 50,000 each.

IIT Jodhpur MDes XR Statement of Purpose (SoP)

All applicants will need to submit a Statement of Purpose (SoP) document along with the application. The SoP should answer the following questions:

• What does the field of XR Design mean to you?
• What is your motivation to join XR Design at IIT Jodhpur?
• What do you like about the XR Design program at IIT Jodhpur?

The Statement of Purpose document should stick to the following guidelines:

• A4 size page, 1-inch margin on all sides, 11-point size, 1.15 spacing.
• A single page of a PDF document, and less than 500 KB in size.

IIT Jodhpur MDes XR Application fees

For self-sponsored seats, applicants belonging to GEN-UR, GEN-EWS, and OBC categories are required to pay a processing fee of Rs.300 online, while SC, ST, and PD applicants need to pay Rs.150 during the submission of their application forms. For institute-sponsored seats, all applicants are required to pay a processing fee of Rs 300.
