IIT Tirupati MTech admissions are based on GATE Score followed by COAP counselling. For IIT Tirupati MTech Admission 2024, GATE Registrations have started from August 30. The closing date of regular registration is September 29, 2023. Along with that, the deadline for extended online registration or application process (with late fee) is 13th October, 2023.
IIT Triupati offers MTech program is 6 different specialisations namely Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Signal Processing & Communications, Environment and Water Resources Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. Admissions to MTech is granted by IIT Tirupati on the basis of GATE merit scores and COAP counselling process. IIT Tirupati has participated till round 10 in COAP counselling 2023.
Candidates who qualify the GATE exam or have an IIT BTech degree with 8.0 CGPA can apply for IIT Tirupati MTech program. IIT Tirupati M.Tech Eligibility Criteria
Candidates qualified GATE 2023, 2022 and 2021 and satisfying any one of the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology from educational institutions approved by AICTE/ Government.
- Candidates yet to appear or appearing in the final examinations for the qualifying degree and whose results are likely to be declared by July 2023.
For IIT Graduates:
- Candidates who are graduating or graduated from IITs with a B.Tech degree and having a CGPA of 8.0 and above can apply without a GATE score.
IIT Tirupati M.Tech Admission Criteria
Interested candidates can fill the application form online. Candidates should qualify the minimum eligibility criteria to apply for the M.Tech program. Admission will be merit-based on GATE scores and academic qualifications. Also, seat reservation is for Indian Nationals under the categories ST/ SC/ EWS/ OBS-NCL/ according to the Indian Government rules.
GATE is a National level entrance exam. It is conducted once a year. The mode of application of GATE is online. The minimum eligibility criteria of GATE EXAM is the candidate in their 3rd year can apply. The duration of the exam is of 3 hours and contains 65 questions worth 100 marks. The syllabus of the GATE exam includes Verbal ability, technical ability, mathematics engineering and numerical ability. GATE score is valid up to three years from the date of announcement of results.
