Eligibility Criteria

Candidate should have passed:

Pass in Pre-University / Higher Secondary /10+2 examination Pass with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics /Computer.
Obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to Reserved Category) in the above subjects taken together
In case of SC/ST, Category -1 and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) category students from Karnataka (Karnataka candidates) the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40%.

Entrance Exam:

Appeared for JEE (Main); JEE (Advanced); Karnataka CET; COMED-K; PUEET-2020 or any other State-level Engineering Entrance Examination.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is good and the faculty is good. I chose this course because I got this at my rank in kcet. Student ratio 60:40 girls: boys. Faculty have good knowledge of their course and they are well qualified for it. Their teaching methods are well-student-oriented. Exams are timely and exams are quite easy to pass.

Which is better for B.Tech. CSE: Presidency University, Bangalore or CMR University, Bangalore or Christ University Faculty of Engineering, Bangalore?

One of my friends studying at CMR said it is better to opt for CMR University or Christ University, rather than Presidency University. Mainly due to the excessive strict rules of the latter. Being a student of the Presidency, let me share why it is not apt for you.

At the Presidency, there are a lot of rules that students need to strictly follow.
There are no holidays for preparation before exams. The institute believes in classroom study only.
Out of an entire batch of over 5000 students, hardly 50-60 students get the chance to participate in sports events.
Fee submission is hectic. Only 2 or 3 counters are available.
Attendance should also be maintained.
They have a strong and cooperative faculty.
