I opted for UCF because of the proximity to my house. I can commute every day so I don't have to pay for housing. I also have seen and heard great things about the university's business program. I also wanted to love at home but attend a university, not a community college.
Course Curriculum :
I do not like the way the classes are set up. They are called 'REAL' courses. It's an abbreviation for something. But we only meet 5 times total throughout the whole semester and the rest is online. I wish they were all face to face classes. And these are only in the college of business classes.
Exams :
I took the SAT 4 times during my junior and senior years of high school. I got 1270 on my SAT. I took the ACT once and got a 24.
Fees :
I receive Florida Bright Futures scholarship so I get a good amount of money chopped off of my tuition each time. But I do not receive financial aid. So for me, it just shows the total tuition amount owed and then it shows how much the bright futures scholarship pays for.
Examination Structure :
The exam structure changes from course to course. For my business classes, I typically have 3-4 exams throughout the semester and then a final exam at the end. For my general education classes, they vary.
Faculty :
They have to accommodate hundreds, sometimes thousands of students each semester because UCF is so large. I understand why they can not be as involved with each student compared to a smaller university's professor.
