I really love FSU's campus. The classes here are great, with knowledgeable and resourceful professors. The clubs and extracurriculars are also beyond developed and a great thing to be a part of.
Course Curriculum
I love the course curriculum for my major. It's informative and just rigorous enough to keep you focused and attentive to your schoolwork. The professors at the school of communication and information at FSU are all, both, incredible professors and humans.
Exams
To come to FSU, I only took the SAT. While some take the ACT and TOEFL, I only took the SAT. I studied for it and got the scores I wanted before applying and being admitted.
Placement
As at any school, the placements and job opportunities are dependent on individual success. While some colleges at FSU have higher job placement out of graduation, all the tools are given to you at Florida State in order for you to be able to succeed.
Internship
Florida State University offers course credit hours for internships but does not necessarily provide you with an internship. Stipends depend on the company you intern with. They may range from an hourly wage to a lump sum stipend at the end of the internship.
Events
Florida State University celebrates diversity like no other. I feel as if every time I hear about an event at Florida State, it appeals to so many people. And when in attendance, everyone is smiling, happy, and diverse full of acceptance.
Fees
The fees here are like any other state university. They are standard to the state and are the same at each accredited state school.
Scholarship
I have been awarded a few scholarships from both, the state, and private organizations. The applications are usually along the lines of submitting a transcript and answering a few short answer questions.
Examination Structure
The exam structure is different for each course taken. While some courses are solely based on exam grades, others include projects, homework, and different assignments. Some classes even offer students points for participating in research studies.
Faculty
Great staff here at FSU. Wonderful professors who have all been knowledgeable and resourceful. They all genuinely seem to care about the wellbeing of their students.
Hostel
I have never lived on campus, only off campus. I have enjoyed it for the last two years. I wish roommate matching was a little better. But that comes down to who you know. On-campus housing does not seem awful.
