Campus

• The university offers many on-campus facilities to resident students as well as commuting students. These include parking and transportation facilities, locker facilities and lounge access at the student activity center (TUB) is also available. A Parsons Store and St Gertrude’s Cafe are located on campus. A Student Health Centre and a Counselling and Wellness Centre are also available on campus.
• SMU has 40+ student-run clubs and organizations catering to academic interests, social causes, etc.
• Many academic events, religious Benedictine events, community events, etc are organized by the university all year round.
• Around 49% of the undergraduate students attending SMU are White, while the other 51% is made up of Asians, African /Americans, Hispanics and students from other ethnicities.
• Lacey offers opportunities to explore restaurants, music venues, hiking trails, water sports, etc.

Residence

• There are 4 on-campus residence halls. Single occupancy& double occupancy rooms are available in the residence halls. Suite style housing and apartments are also available.
• First-year students are required to live in double occupancy rooms while students in higher years are eligible for single occupancy rooms.
• Each student is provided with Ethernet and cable access, a bed, a desk and chair, a nightstand, a dresser, and a built-in wardrobe closet. All rooms are also equipped with a mini-fridge and a microwave.
• Shared facilities available include community lounges, study lounges, kitchen and laundry facilities, exercise rooms, computer labs a convenience store and much more.
