The NYU Game Center MFA is a 2-year Master of Fine Arts degree in Game Design. Located within NYU’s famous Tisch School of the Arts, we stand shoulder-to-shoulder with other forms of art, media, and culture.
Our students study the design and development of games in a context of advanced critical literacy, to become game designers and developers, artists and curators, critics and scholars.
After an intensive first year of fundamentals and advanced game design and development coursework, your second year will focus on a year-long thesis project that will propel you into the game industry.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

Academic Eligibility:

Candidates must have an equivalent bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale [B+ Grade].

Indian Student Eligibility:

The minimum requirements are an overall average of 60% in each year, as well as in all prerequisite subjects.
Subjects must include mathematics, chemistry, and physics in Classes 11 and 12.
