Majors begin their study with a core of courses that introduce the beauty and utility of all four areas represented in the tetrahedron: pure mathematics, applied mathematics, computer science and statistics. They routinely work in partnership with faculty and other students to develop as professionals and to acquire skills necessary to succeed in a variety of future endeavors.
We offer various flavors of the mathematics major: a B.S. in mathematics; a B.S. in mathematics with a concentration in statistics; a B.S. in mathematics with a concentration in computer science; a B.S. in mathematics with secondary education certification and a B.S in mathematics with an Actuarial Science concentration.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Requirements:
- Applicants must have completed a bachelors degree from an accredited university
- Applicants are encouraged to submit a letter of recommendation and personal statement
- Submit SAT/ACT scores for scholarship and admissions consideration
- Submit English Language Proficiency test scores
English Language Requirements:
- TOEFL: minimum 79 in iBT; 550 in PBT
- IELTS: minimum 6.5
- Duolingo: minimum 105
- PTE; minimum 53
