Hostel:

Dorm rooms are very expensive. Reasonably priced apartments available around a mile from campus.

Close to silicon Valley, course structure flexible and adaptable.

The first 2 years you are required to live on campus in dorms or apartments. First-year students receive meal plans and gym memberships. I chose to live off-campus because I did community college in my first 2 years. However, the on-campus housing I've been in is outdated and small.

San Diego had always been a dream city for me. It's metropolitan but also has chill areas like the beach. It's a state school so as a California resident it was an affordable choice. The college campus is a moderate size and has beautiful architecture. The area the college is in feels like it's own community.

I live and work at an off-campus residence. It's nice because you are not affiliated with the school and more often than not because of that the prices are a lot lower. I love working off-campus but sometimes it's hard for them to understand that we are students.

I decided to opt for this particular college because they were giving me the most financial assistance compared to some of the other universities that I got into. It's also a great school in a great location.

Hostel:

I own my own home so I cannot say much about living on campus or in a hostel. The school representatives are very helpful with questions like this. I do suggest finding roommates that you can trust. The area immediately around the college is a little rough so if you can commute that would be even better.

Great professors and advisors. I had a previous education experience with them and know their value. I also love that service Learning is a major part of the program. They encourage us to be politically active in our practice.

I stay off-campus and cost is also affordable

Because of the coursework and location. The college also had a limited strength in CS so that the professor can focus on individuals
