Graduate students have an option to stay on campus in graduate housing and the rent includes all expenses including electricity, water, and WIFI. There is option to share a 2 bedroom apartment ($580) with another student or have the entire place for oneself ($750). The facilities include a kitchen with refrigerator, stove, and oven. Separate laundry is provided in each apartment. Bedrooms are provided with cupboards, bed, mattress, and lamps.

I initially chose Purdue University for a master's degree from the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics which is among the top graduate programs in the USA and provided ample exposure to chart my way into a Ph.D. program. There are a variety of research areas available, however, some research is restricted to US nationals only in the field of aerospace technology. This is also true for aerospace-related jobs in the private sector which also require US citizenship for security reasons. Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Science department at Purdue are among the fastest-growing departments in this field here. Admitted students are well supported through assistantships and fellowships. I chose to get a Ph.D. in Planetary Sciences as I am fascinated by the geologic processes on earth and other solar system bodies. Amazing research is currently happening about the moon, mars, mercury, icy moons, asteroids, and extrasolar planets. Purdue is situated in West Lafayette which is a university town and I like it that way.

I live off-campus. There are a couple of housing management companies that lease apartments annually os semi-annually. Prices for the apartment may vary from $325 per month up to $1000 on average depending on the quality of the apartment.

There were a couple of factors for example the Computer Science program here is really good. Secondly, my elder brother was enrolled at the same University. Thirdly, the tuition, as well as the boarding costs, are not exorbitant like in California for instance.

Purdue has a number of dormitory buildings available to its students. Male, female, and co-ed buildings are offered and vary widely in price and amenities. Single, double, and triple occupant rooms are available depending on the specific dorm. There are also a large number of apartment buildings on and off-campus.

Purdue is well-known for its excellent Computer Science program, and I knew that many internship opportunities would be available to me at the school. I also liked its large campus and close proximity to my family.

I chose to attend Purdue for the reputation and networking opportunities it has. Although the location is not the best, it still has a great big-campus feel and the small college town is comfortable as well.

Off-campus is more affordable and much nicer if you can have a car. Many do offer a free shuttle to campus though. But easier to work with a car as bus lines don't come that often if off campus. But dining halls on campus are great.

Good school and close to home Greta for my original major. Purdue has a nice campus but not too distracting or crazy. Some nightlife but still easy to avoid or participate in decoding on what experience you want.

Sharing rooms are available at lower cost because of low cost of property in this state. The rooms are clean and good and the maintenance is top notch

Because of the good faculty and low cost of living in the state. Also there are good job prospects related to this field in this area.
