Julia Review at The University Of British Columbia [UBC], Vancouver | Collegedunia

UBC has a good program and a good student life as well as a good price that is reasonable for the education that I am getting. I also opted for UBC because I have family ties here since my sister also attends the same university.

Course Curriculum :

I enjoyed the program I am taking but I do plan on switching faculties to the faculty of science to pursue a geology major. The coordinated arts program was really good although it is very Canada-focused and has a preconceived notion that students that undertake this course already have prior knowledge of Canadian politics and history.

Exams :

I took the SAT and received a score of 1230. I also took the AP Calculus, AB exam and for which I received a score of four out of five.

Fees :

The fees you pay at this university include some small funds to go towards clubs at the school that are necessary such as a sexual assault club that helps sexual assault victims and talks about sexual assault and they're making an indigenous students club so that's good and the fees for that you paid in tuition sometimes go through towards that as well as your u pass but they are all optional fees.

Examination Structure :

The exams at this university are heavily dependent on the way that the prof wants the exam to go ask. For example, I have had in the faculty of art exams that were fully multiple-choice while also fully open questions as well as a mixture of those. The courses I have taken in the sciences were all multiple-choice although I have heard that that is not the case for all of them.

Faculty :

I enjoy the faculty of arts and I think that it has good advising although not the best. It is very helpful for your processing transfer requests and it has been helpful for everything that I've needed. Although I have heard that they are not very good at advising students to do what's best for them but what's best for their career at school and in the future even if that means not having the greatest mental health or quality of life.
