The study of history contributes to critical thinking, helps to develop intellectual maturity, and assists students to present ideas clearly and accurately. Courses in our department blend thematic and geographic approaches to the study of history. History as a discipline is very flexible and allows students to follow their own interests in their course selection and through independent research.
Eligibility & Entry Requirement
For admission from a GCE system (or equivalent) a minimum of two Advanced (A) level subjects and three Ordinary (O) level subjects, must be completed with an overall grade point average of C or higher in order to be considered for admission. All A level subjects presented for admission must have a grade of at least C. Students may substitute two Advanced-Subsidiary (AS) level subjects for one A-level.
