AMS Engineering College offers four–year, full-time BE program in 6 specializations. The Institute is allotted on an intake of 62 seats per course. The college also provides admission through the second year, lateral entry program.

Applicant seeking admission for the BE courses should have passed 10+2 examination with minimum 50% marks and with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as major subjects. For the lateral-entry program, candidate should have passed Diploma in relevant field from recognized university.

Admission process for BE (four-year) course is conducted through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) counselling, governed by the Anna University. The admission process for BE (lateral-entry) is conducted through Tamil Nadu Lateral-Entry Admission (TLEA) conducted by the Anna University.

Annai Mathammal Sheela Engineering College provides ME, MBA and MCA courses as a part of PG program. The college also provides admission for second-year, MCA program, through lateral-entry.

The basic eligibility for the candidates to apply for the ME course is BE degree in relevant discipline with minimum 55% aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognized university. Candidates seeking admission for MBA and MCA course should have a minimum three-year Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA from a recognized University. Candidate seeking admission for MCA (lateral-entry) program should have passed BCA degree from a recognized university.

Admission for ME, MBA and MCA courses are conducted by Anna University, through Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). The admission process includes Entrance Test followed by State-level Counselling.
