For BE:

• Computer and Communication Engineering

For B.Tech: 

• Information Technology
• Computer Science and Business Systems

Eligibility

For both the B.E. and B.Tech programs, candidates who secured a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 with PCM are eligible to apply. Candidates belonging to SC/ST and other backward classes of Tamil Nadu are given relaxation of 5% in the eligibility criteria. Candidates must qualify TNEA followed by counselling.

For students who are going for lateral entry, a passing certificate of 3 years diploma exam in relevant subjects with a minimum of 55% marks is required. A 5% relaxation is given to students belonging to backward classes. 

Selection Criteria

The candidates are selected based on their merit, 10+2 marks with PCM and TNEACounselling which is held state-wide.

How to Apply?

All the candidates applying for B.E and B.Tech programs must apply through TNEA Counselling. The process is discussed here:

• Fill the application form for TNEA from the official website.
• Pay online fee for TNEA. (Rs.500 for general candidates and Rs.250 for reserved category).
• Submit a copy of the printed application form. Attach your educational qualifications and photographs with it. Sent all these to “Secretary, TNEA, Anna University, Chennai – 600 025”.

• Original Special Reservation Form with DD
• 10+2 Mark Sheet
• 10th Mark Sheet
• Hall Ticket of 10+2 exam
• Transfer Certificate
• Nativity Certificate only in electronic form/digitally signed e-Certificate.
• Permanent Community Certificate Card for ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC & BCM.
• First Graduate Certificate and First Graduate Joint Declaration (if applicable)
• Sri Lankan Tamil Refugee Certificate (if applicable)

Eligibility 

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology subjects with a minimum 50% marks to apply for any of the specialized programs in M.E. Those who fail to produce a valid GATE must appear for TANCET.

The local candidates are given utmost preference.

Selection Criteria

The candidates are selected based on the marks scored in the bachelor’s programs along with either GATE OR TANCET scores.

How To Apply?

Candidates need to apply through TANCET counselling. The application process is as follows:

• Register through the TANCET website for TANCET. The application process is conducted both online and offline.
• Send the complete application form and photocopies of the relevant documents to “The Secretary, TANCET, Anna University, Chennai”.
• For offline payment, enclose a demand draft of INR 500 (250 for reserved).
• Qualified candidates would be called for counselling, based on which the seats will be allocated.
