About UIIT
University Institute of Information technology (UIIT) is a leading government institute for B.Tech in information technology programs in Northern India. The college has a close collaboration with the IT industry which helps the institute to give a competitive edge to other institutes. It offers B. TECH in five branches. The admission is done on the basis of marks obtained in the Entrance exam i. e. HPCET (Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test).

The admission process at the University Institute of Information Technology is done through online mode. Admission to the course is done through the entrance. Interested and eligible candidates are required to submit their application form. The application form can be filled online by following the below - listed steps:
- Candidates need to visit the official website of the institute and register themselves.
- After registration, Candidates will receive a unique username and password.
- Now, using the login credentials candidates need to log in.

The training and placement cell of the University Institute of Information technology is very active and responsible for all the placements in College. The Placement Cell organizes Career guidance & Training programs like Mock interviews, Group discussions, Communication skills, workshops and etc.
As per the record shown by the university near about 90 students were placed in the year 2018-19. The highest package of the session is INR 9 LPA and the lowest stood at INR 3.6 LPA. - Wi-Fi: The whole UIIT Campus has WI-FI Connectivity 14*6. Students don't face any kind of network issue on the campus.
- Banking Facilities: Banking Facilities are within the campus. Atm services are also available in the campus. Students don't need to go outside the campuses for the withdrawal or fee payments.
- Labs: Labs are furnished with all types of equipment. Computer labs and various science labs are there. Students can learn everything theoretically as well as practically.
