I chose the Bachelor of Technology in Computer science and Engineering. The student-to-faculty ratio is approximately 1:30. Which is above most of the college. All faculty members are postgraduate and most of them currently pursuing a PhD. In their respective subject. Exams are conducted regularly there are two internal exams in a semester and a one-time external exam in college according to the guidelines of IKGPTU.
I chose this course because of the scope it provides in the near future btech can open many gates in our lives and many ways through which we can lead our future. 1:100. Teachers are well qualified most of them have done their masters.
I have chosen this course because I have been curious about computers since my childhood. I always think about how computers work, how games are made and many more. The faulty: student ratio is 2:5 in our college. Some faculty are master scholars in college. after every month an exam is held at our college and the level of exams is easy.
I chose this course because of the placement percentage in B.tech(CSE) of CGC Landran. Faculty members are good and support the students where they need them. on average, there are 65 students in class. In a semester exams are conducted three times 2 times internal that are difficult to pass and one time end semester exam are conducted.
I took Computer Science as it is one of the best for becoming a software engineer. Faculty is average but not as expected according to their qualification. There are regular mid-term tests per sem. 2 MST.
I chose this course due to my interest in mathematics and coding, There are 20000 faculty and about 60000 students. Assistant professors and above are all PHD qualified. All the teachers are amazing. There are exams every month.
When it comes to pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Lovely Professional University (LPU) stands out as the best private university compared to CGC and Landran. Here's why:
There are a plethora of parameters based on which one can decide which college is better than the other. But at the same time, your choices and your priorities also matter to decide which college you will opt for. You might not get all the fulfillments in the college checklist but you can set your priorities. Coming onto the question, if you are willing to decide among CGC Landran and CCET Chandigarh, you are comparing two very different colleges.
Let’s decide based on different criteria:
Placement: If you are one among the students to whom the ultimate goal is to get into a reputed company after Engineering, CGC Landran will be the right choice. You know why? Go through the placement records given below:

CCET Chandigarh |

The placement stats of CGC Landran is way better than CCET Chandigarh.
If you want the stamp of Panjab University on your degree, then you can opt for CCET Chandigarh. Although, CCET will not provide you with any extra benefits/royalties like Panjab University. Instead of CCET, UIET is a better choice.
From the study point of view, there is not much difference between these two colleges.
This is basically the admission criteria for management quota which is relaxed after some time. They could even ask for donations later. You can secure admission to CGC Landran in the following two methods:
They are generally on the lookout for admissions and at the start, claim that they have limited seats. They might push you in the direction of mechanical, electronics and IT but in my opinion, you should stick to the field of your choice. The ‘limited seats’ notion is mainly a business gimmick and out to fool people. You will definitely get the branch of your choice. You might have to persevere a little more for it, but it will be in your hands.
I have a few friends at CGC and I heard good things about the institute from them. It is well-known for offering good placements and a decent academic environment.
The institute conducts extra classes. These classes are about HR, group discussions, etc. Here, you will be given placement papers targeting certain companies by the teachers. At the weekend, you will be handed over modules and questions that concern that specific company.
CGC Landran is a great option for a B.Tech in CSE. It has a motivating campus environment and it is known for its excellent placements. Around 98 percent of students from the CSE branch get placed each year. According to CGC Landran placement highlights the highest CTC offered by the students is around INR 40 LPA. Major MNCs such as Microsoft, Google, IBM, HCL, etc. attend the placement drive.
NIRF 2020 has ranked LPU at 87, CGC Landran at 201-250 band and NIET Noida at 99 for Engineering. LPU and NIET Noida are affiliated to the University grant Commission and follow the latest course curriculum with practical study and implementation. CGC Landran is affiliated to the Punjab Technical University and its curriculum is slightly outdated which lacks practical study and implementation.
Admission:
CGC Landran offers admission through JEE Mains. The cut-off for CGC Landran CSE Branch was 6,87,300 rank for all India general category students and 10,90,000 for home state students.
Whereas in NIET Noida admissions are provided on the basis of UPSEE Exam, the cut-off rank in 2019 for all India General students was 34,341 for CSE, for OBC it was 55,469.
LPU conducts LPUNEST exam for B tech admissions or it also takes admission on the basis of JEE mains.
CGC Landran has an annual fee of INR 96,000 whereas NIET and LPU charge about INR 1 lakh to 1.5 Lakh per annum.
Campus location and infrastructure:
Situated near the Country capital and in Noida, NIET has the best connectivity among the three colleges followed by LPU and then CGC Landran. Infrastructure wise LPU is better and consisting of excellent facilities and computer centres. CGC Landran and NIET Noida also have good infrastructure.
Placement:
The average package of LPU is 5.4 LPA whereas CGC Landran and NIET Noida have an average package around 3.5 LPA.
The highest package offered by LPU was 42 LPA and by CGC Landran was 35 LPA whereas NIET Noida had a lower maximum package of 11 LPA.
The placement percentage in all the three colleges are 100% and the colleges are visited by reputed national and international companies.
For the CSE course, LPU is a good choice. The other two are also good. The decision should be made by the candidate not only on the above parameters as required but according to the connectivity of the college from the home town and annual fee of the college.
My sister recently graduated from CGC Landran and has better information about the teaching techniques employed at the institute. Here is what she had to say.
In the first year of college, the teachers do not use projectors a lot and they just give the students notes for the subjects.
In the second year, the syllabus starts getting tougher and the length of the chapters in subjects also increases as the core subjects get included. It becomes a challenge to complete the syllabus in time. That is the reason why second year onwards teachers mostly give notes and teach from PPT Slides to cover up the syllabus.
Hope this clears your doubt.
CGC Landran is a part of Chandigarh University whereas Chitkara University is a separate University. CGC Landran being part of Chandigarh University is a good college but it is recommended to study at the main campus as it will have better or equal facilities. But the choice also depends upon the cost of education and other important factors. All the institute takes admission through JEE Mains.
Ranking:
CGC Landran is ranked 52 for BTech by Chronicle 2019.
Chandigarh University is ranked 84 for BTech by NIRF 2020.
Chitkara University is ranked 151 among the top universities of India by NIRF 2020.
Annual fee:
CGC Landran has an annual CSE/IT B. tech fee of INR 96,000 and Chitkara University has INR 97,000 whereas Chandigarh University has an annual fee of INR 1.68 lakhs for these branches.
Infrastructure:
Chandigarh University has the best infrastructure and largest campus among the three. All three institutes are equally good academically. Chandigarh University having better infrastructure among three offers excellent teaching, practical and library facilities. Chandigarh University also has one of the best fests in whole north India.
Placement:
Each of the colleges was visited by top recruited companies all over the world during the 2018-19 session.
Chitkara University saw 85% placement with 13.5 LPA max package and 4.5 LPA as the average package.
Whereas CGC Landran and CU both had observed 100% placement for the branches. The maximum package in both the colleges was the same 35 LPA.
CU has the highest average package among these three with 5 LPA whereas CGC Landran has the lowest average with 3.5 LPA.
Chandigarh University has a better record in all the above parameters discussed. CGC Landran is a cost-effective college which offers best if compared to Chitkara University Himachal Campus. Between CU and CGC, CU is the main campus and it offers better facilities. But the final choice still will lie with prospective students as factors such as connectivity from home and cost of attendance should also be taken into consideration before joining.
