Placement prospects are strong for students in the Computer Science (CS) and Information Technology (IT) branches, with eligibility for placement starting in their final year. Mechanical engineering students have fewer job and internship opportunities, although companies such as Faurecia, Textron, and Volvo offer internships, with stipends varying by company. Professors aid final-year students by providing references for internships. The placement department is student-managed, and generally, all students secure internships. For M. Tech regular students in 2018, the annual fee was 44,000 INR. Students from the SC/ST categories received full scholarships from the government. Those who qualified through the GATE examination were entitled to a monthly stipend of 12,400 INR for two years. OBC students were also eligible for scholarships.
