Shyam Lal College UG Selection Process

Candidates seeking admission to the UG courses at Shyam Lal College must clear the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The final selection will be done through e-counselling conducted by Delhi University on the basis of CUET scores. CUET is divided into the following three sections:

• Section 1 Languages: this further contains two sections, ‘A’ and ‘B’. Section ‘A’ contains 13 languages such as Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, etc. Section ‘B’ contains 20 languages such as French, Spanish, German, Nepali, Persian, etc. For admission candidates must at least appear in one language. 
• Section 2 Domain Specific: There are 27 domain specific subjects in this section. Candidates are required to refer to the program specific eligibility criteria in order to select domain specific subjects. 
• Section 3 General Test: General test for any UG programme offered by the university where the general test is being used for admission. Candidates must refer to the program specific eligibility criteria for selecting general tests.

Candidates applying for UG courses in Shyam Lal College can follow the steps mentioned below to register for the CUET Examinations: 

• Candidates must first visit the official CUET website that is: @cuet.samarth.ac.in. 
• Upon opening the website candidates will find the ‘Register’ tab, they must click on it. 
• After reading and understanding the information provided, candidates must hit the ‘Proceed’ button. 
• After this, candidates will be directed to the application form. Candidates must fill in the required details carefully. 
• After filling the necessary details candidates will have to upload important documents such as signature, photograph, marksheet, etc. Candidates must upload all the required documents. 
• Candidates need to pay the application fee at the time of submitting the form or else the Online Application Form will not be considered.
• After submitting the fee, candidates print out the form and save a hard copy for future references.

The SPM College offers 2 year duration PG courses to the students on the basis of a cutoff list prepared by the Delhi University every year. The SPM College offers only Master of Arts (M.A.) in 3 specialisations: Sanskrit, Political Science and Hindi. The M.A. course is offered only to 25 students.

• The students who have completed their bachelor’s degree in the relevant specialisations are eligible to take admission in the SPM College.
• Candidates must have scored minimum 65% marks for merit based admission.

Shyama Prasad Mukherji College PG Selection Process

• The admission to the M.A. course is given on the basis of an entrance exam conducted by the Delhi University.
• The students who score the marks equivalent to or higher than the required cutoff scores in the entrance exam are eligible to get the admission in the SPM College.

• For admission in B.Ed., the candidate must have completed bachelor’s degree from a recognised university and must have secured a minimum score of 55% in the aggregate.
• The candidate must have completed a 10+2 level examination or equivalent with a minimum score of 50% in the aggregate.

• The selections to the B.Ed. & B.El.Ed.courses are done on the basis of marks secured in the entrance examination conducted by the Delhi University.
• The admission committee of the Delhi University will prepare cutoff lists for granting admission into the professional courses.
