About College of Vocational Studies

The College of Vocational Studies is a constituent & Public college of the University of Delhi. It is a fully university-maintained institution administered by a statutory Governing Body. It embodies the ideal of a public-funded higher educational institution with an emphasis on inclusivity, integration, quality, and social equality. The CVS College was founded to minimize the gap between traditional University education by teaching language courses like French, German, and Spanish. The college has an experienced group of faculties to achieve its objective.

The CVS College has a faculty of 35+ members. It is a co-educational college and is one of the best colleges of the University of Delhi after North Campus colleges. The CVS College has been accredited Grade ‘A’ with a CGPA of 3.05 on a 4 point scale by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council. The college offers courses in management and marketing of insurance (MMI), marketing management and retail business (MMRB), tourism management, office management and secretarial practice (OMSP), small and medium enterprises (SME) etc.
The CVS College offers fifteen courses across six streams related to the field of Undergraduate programs management, computer science etc.

CVS College Admission

The College of vocational studies admission process is completely online. Candidates seeking admission are required to apply online on the official website. Admission to UG courses is done on the basis of CUET scores followed by e-counseling. Candidates need to pass their 10th and 12th class with 40 percent marks in total to be eligible for UG courses provided. The program-specific eligibilities vary from course to course.

The marks obtained by the candidate in CUET 2023 will be considered for computing the total marks according to the Program-Specific combinations of subjects for deciding merit and granting admissions in the undergraduate programs. Merit will be based only on the ‘combination of subjects in which a candidate has appeared in CUET 2023 mentioned in the respective Program-Specific Eligibility.

CVS College Application Process

Candidates who wish to enroll for the UG courses at CVS College are required to apply for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). The application process is mentioned below:

Candidates must visit the official CUET website that is: @cuet.samarth.ac.in.
Upon opening the website candidates will find the ‘Register’ tab, they must click on it.
After reading and understanding the information provided, candidates must hit the ‘Proceed’ button.
After this, candidates will be directed to the application form. Candidates must fill in the required details carefully.
After filling the necessary details candidates will have to upload important documents such as signature, photograph, marksheet, etc. Candidates must upload all the required documents.
Candidates need to pay the application fee at the time of submitting the form or else the Online Application Form will not be considered.
After submitting the fee, candidates print out the form and save a hard copy for future references.
Candidates can login to their portals for any new updates, college cutoffs and so forth.
Candidates who are accepted must report to the college where the cutoff percentage is met. Candidates will be required to carry some documents with them such as Character certificate, provisional certificate, self attested photocopies of all the documents submitted above, class 11 and 12 original mark sheets, etc.

College Library: The college has more than 55000 books and approx 500 bound scholarly journals. The library remains open from 9 a.m. in the morning to 5:30 p.m. in the evening. The college has also e resources available such as INFLIBNET-NLIST.
College Computer Labs: The college has well equipped computer labs with the latest hardware and software available. There are 80 computers available with internet connection. The college also has a digital electronics lab.
Sports activities: The college has well equipped facilities for playing basketball, Football, Volleyball, cricket, athletics, table tennis. The college also has a separate yoga room. There is a reservation for the deserving sports persons and having admission in the first semester.

College societies are very good and it has the best campus life.

The Greenery in the college dismisses all your stress and make you joy.
College atmosphere is very nice here as compared to the nearby or neighboring colleges.

Dislike

Even though I was a tourism student, only 40% of my subjects were related to the tourism sector, and the rest were a waste.
Seniors have said that the internship process is not good. If anyone wants to take an internship, the college takes too much time for the documentation process.
Sadly, our college does not offer any sort of placement or internships for the students.
Even though it is affordable, the condition is very bad, which makes it worthless.
I have not opted for the hostel as there is no hostel facility provided by my college. There is no space for a residential complex on campus itself, but there are a lot of PGs outside the college where students stay.
The worst thing about the college was the management, least caring and never doing their job.
