Bachelor of Technology in Computer and Information Science is a 4-year undergraduate course designed for candidates seeking engineering excellence in the field of Computer Software and Hardware Technology. A student needs to clear 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as main subjects with minimum aggregate marks as required by the institute.
The average tuition fee is approximately INR 4 to 10 lacs for the complete course depending upon the institute and the university. A fresher in this stream has the potential to earn from 3 lacs to as much as 15 lacs purely depending on his skills and reputation of the college/university. Students can aspire to become Data Analyst, Software Engineer, Programmer etc.
Duration
The duration of the course is strictly 4 years and is sub-divided into 8 semesters with 2 semesters each year. The candidate has the option of going for distance education and the later carries the same duration as well. The course may have a total of 40 to 50 subjects (Practical subjects are not included) where passing every subject is mandatory to get a degree in the same.
