You need to follow the below-mentioned steps to check your CMAT 2023 Result.

  • Visit the official website: cmat.nta.nic.in.
  • Locate and Click on the link for 'CMAT 2023 Result has been declared'
  • Enter your login credentials, i.e., CMAT application number and date of birth.
  • Enter the security pin as shown on the window and click on the 'Submit' tab.
  • Download and save your CMAT 2023 Scorecard for future reference.

CMAT Result Statistics

CMAT 2023 Result Statistics are going to be announced by NTA on the official website after the declaration of the result. However, students can get an idea by referring to the previous year’s CMAT result statistics discussed below.

Out of 58956 candidates who registered last year, only 51144 appeared for CMAT exam. Out of 51144 candidates, 28513 were males, 22630 were females, and 1 belonged to the third gender.

How is CMAT Score Calculated?

How is CMAT Score Calculated?

CMAT Score is calculated based on the correct and incorrect responses made by the candidate in CMAT exam by following the marking scheme given below:

  • The correct response will be awarded +4
  • The incorrect response will face a penalty of -1
  • For unattempted questions, there is no negative marking

How to Calculate CMAT Percentile?

The candidates who appear for CMAT exam will be able to calculate their percentile by using the values of their individual rank and the total number of candidates who appeared. CMAT Percentile is calculated using the formula:

Percentile P = ( (N- your rank)/ N) x 100 (Where P is percentile and N is the total number of candidates who appeared for the exam).

CMAT 2023 Merit List

The authorities will release CMAT 2023 Merit List in PDF format following the release of CMAT Result 2023. CMAT Merit List will contain the candidate’s name, percentile score, and the AIR. 

CMAT Tie-Breaking Criteria 2023

In case multiple candidates score the same in CMAT 2023, the ranking will be done on the basis of CMAT sectional score considered in the below mentioned order:

  1. Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation
  2. Logical Reasoning
  3. Language Comprehension
  4. General Awareness
  5. Innovation and Entrepreneurship

If the tie still persists, candidates secure the same ranking by going through the above process, the same rank is assigned to all of them but is displayed by sorting their names alphabetically. The rank in CMAT of the next candidate is then extended by the number of students having the same rank. For example, if 3 students are at 6th rank then subsequent students will be ranked as 9th.

CMAT Answer Key

CMAT 2023 Answer Key 

NTA releases CMAT Answer Key along with the candidates’ response sheet on the official website within a week of the conclusion of the exam. Candidates can challenge the answer keys and recorded responses by filling out an online application form and paying a processing charge of INR 200/ question till the last day of raising objections.

  • The processing charge can be paid by credit card/debit card/Net banking. The processing fee once paid, is non-refundable.
  • NTA’s decision on the challenges shall be final and no further communication will be entertained.
  • Based on the challenges raised, NTA releases the final answer key based on which CMAT result is declared.
CMAT Counselling

CMAT 2023 Counselling Procedure

Post declaration of CMAT Result 2023, candidates are called for the further rounds of counselling; GD/Essay and PI. Every institute has a different selection process.

  • For the final selection, qualified candidates are required to visit the respective institutes for which they have applied for.
  • Multiple rounds of selection are conducted at the campus of the concerned institute. 
  • About 1000 AICTE Approved institutes will accept CMAT 2023 Result scores. 

Candidates need to note the following points regarding CMAT 2023 Selection process:

  • A candidate’s academics, work experience, CMAT score, and overall personal aptitude will be put under tight scrutiny during the selection round. 
  • GD round will judge a candidate’s knowledge of the diverse topics, confidence, ability to counter pressure, etc.
  • Candidates will be then shortlisted for a personal interview round based on their performance in the group discussion.
