GMAT Score Calculator: Score Calculator Table, Score Report, Percentile Chart

GMAT score calculator calculates the candidate’s score on a score range of 200 to 800. The three factors that the GMAT calculator takes into account are the total number of accurate answers, the total attempted questions and the difficulty level of the questions. Since GMAT is a computer adaptive exam, the question types will keep on changing despite the total score remaining the same. The GMAT score calculator table is a helpful tool to get an idea of how the scores are converted. The online GMAT exam also follows a similar scoring system. During GMAT preparation at home, candidates can use the GMAT calculator chart to understand the change from raw to scaled score.

How is GMAT Score Calculated?

GMAT total score calculator calculates the score of the four sections by converting its raw score to a scaled score. Each section of GMAT syllabus follows different method of scoring. Plus, the score ranges of these sections are not the same. Before understanding how GMAT section score calculator works, it is essential to understand the GMAT score breakdown:

Section Raw Score Range Number of Questions How the Section is Scored
GMAT Analytical Writing Assessment 0.0-6.0 1 Graded with machine algorithms and audited by professional essay raters.
GMAT Integrated Reasoning 1-8 12 Graded according to the number of correct answers given.
GMAT Quantitative Reasoning 6-51 31 Graded according to the number of correct answer and difficulty level of the questions answered
GMAT Verbal Reasoning 6-51 36 Graded according to the number of correct answer and difficulty level of the questions answered

For the overall GMAT score, the score range is 200-800 and the raw score obtained in GMAT verbal and GMAT quant are converted to get the total score. Here, the GMAT raw scores of these two sections are reported in intervals of 10 with an error measurement of 30-40 points. Candidates should be aware of the  GMAT Mean Score in India. As the GMAT quant and verbal section contribute to the overall score the candidates must remember that they can get a higher score if:

  • They answered a higher number of questions
  • Most of those are correct
  • The difficulty level of the attempted questions are higher
  • The difficulty level of the correct answers are higher
