- Business administration deals with the economic activity of individuals (consumers, investors) and companies in a market economy. The focus is on the fundamental problem of how decision-makers should deal with scarce resources (goods, capital, time) in order to meet their own needs.
- The study of business administration includes central commercial functions in companies, in particular procurement, production, sales, investment and financing, accounting, controlling and taxes as well as information management.
