Prof. Shrikant S. Goje is a Professor of Ballarpur Institute of Technology, Chandrapur. He opted for the Engineering field in his studies. Moreover, he plays a vital role in the upbringing of laboratories of Shri Sai Polytechnic and Shri Sai College of Engg. & Tech. He structured the first Robotics Workshop on the BIT Technical Campus. He has worked as Principal, Vice-Principal, and Head of Department throughout his career. However, he is interested in the formation of electronic project models.

What are the prime factors that connect with your positions in a professional career?

“To learn continuously and upgrade for future challenges”

My passion is teaching. I try to keep the students for current and future upgrades instead of normal teaching. It is my prime duty as a teacher.


What is your leadership philosophy as a director/principal/HOD of BIT?

"Organize a team, guide them, and treat everyone honestly"

I take action from the front as a lead. Also, I view what are the necessary things to be done. Moreover, keeping an organized team is essential. It helps to think we all are equal in an institution. 


What are the inbound students gain from studying at your institute according to the latest education system?

“Change from campus life to the digital world”

In the covid pandemic, we conduct various lectures from leading universities around the world. These institutes are Harvard Business School, Stanford University, and Yale School of Management. After the starting of regular classes, we proceed with these methods along with classroom teaching. It is beneficial to live practical sessions. 


How does the BIT curriculum provide the best practice of industry?

The prime part of our curriculum consists of academic theories and industry practices. We provide live projects and real-time case studies to all students. It helps them to become industry managers.

How does your college welcome students of different economic backgrounds and races?

"Students are treated with equality on campus"

The campus is situated in a rural area. Most of the students are from the village area. We provide various kinds of fees, concessions, scholarships, and free transport facilities to bring those students. So, it helps to reduce the left out students. On the other hand, students with strong economic backgrounds come from urban areas. We provide the best hostel facilities, including a mini-club with indoor activities and an entertainment space. There is no differentiation inside the college based on rank, gender, and income. We consider all pupils to have equal opportunities. 


What are your roles and responsibilities towards students and the institution?

I have arranged all facilities for my students through the technical, dedicated teaching, and non-teaching staff. Moreover, I look at the requirements needed for candidates and fulfill them. Each student gets placed with a handsome package after completing the course.

We decide on seven strategic priorities for upcoming years. Some of these are high-quality techniques in teaching offered to pupils. Moreover, each student gets placed in the top position of a reputed firm. It helps to attract more students from around the world.

We offer the best facilities for students due to our location being in rural areas. The strength of our hardworking, enthusiastic, and young faculties achieves the success of the institution.

A change in mindset is a mandatory skill. The students have to adapt and retrain rather than face the challenges. According to recent trends, pupils learn fast and adapt to the changes relying on them.

A learning environment is essential for Engineers. It helps them to adapt their learning capacity with changes in teaching practices and strategies. We follow several ways for this development. It consists of attendance of students events, safety, interactive games, activity, and success of events. The prime part is maintaining spending time with students and faculty.
