V.N.S. Ganapathi Ram is presently working as the Head of CSE Department and Assistant Professor at West Godavari Institute of Science And Engineering. He holds B.Sc., M.Sc. and M.Tech. degrees. He has also obtained a P.G.D.S.M. degree (Post Graduate Diploma in Software Management).

Ram has worked at various colleges including as a Lecturer in BRR & GKR Chamber’s Degree College, PALAKOL, Guest Faculty in A.U.M.S.N.P.G. Centre, Kakinada, Asst. Prof. in Sree Rama Institute of Computer Technology, Tanuku, Contract Lecturer in S.V.D.Degree College for Women, NIDADAVOLE and Lecturer in A.K.R.G.College, Nallajerla.

Having teaching experience of more than a decade

I have about 13 years of experience in the education industry. I started my career as a lecturer in a degree college then became an assistant professor & now I’m working as the Head of CSE Department and as an Assistant Professor in West Godavari Institute of Science And Engineering. I am also the officer-in-charge for the examination section.

The thought that I could contribute to the society by nurturing my students to be better individuals made me stick to this field.

Convincing CSE students to opt for online courses to update their knowledge is a significant challenge

Motivating my students to pursue online courses for improving their knowledge is one great challenge as CSE students are ought to be updated with new software &technology.

Our curriculum helps the students to be the best software creators

Our curriculum gives the students a scope for developing their own programs & projects with an improved thought process, helping them to be the best software creators when it comes to the softwareindustry.

Organizing different workshops and software developing programmes is a big help to the students

I would like to make the CSE department the best by organizing different workshops and software developing programs thereby improving the quality of students.

We gauge students’ performance through assignments

We try to follow better teaching plans & teaching aids to ensure quality education. We tend to gauge the student by giving them assignments. We try to polish the creative minds in every student.

We try our best to groom students’ skills

We organize different events like tech-quiz, etc. thereby bringingout the positive competitive spirit among the students.

Interacting with students after the lectures helps in building warm relationships with them

I guide students in every aspect possible. After the lecture, I interact with students& get to understand their requirements & try to inculcate positive thinking & competitive spirit in them.

Encouraging the students to create something of their own through research

I encourage students to refer different books thereby promoting them to think on their own to create something with their own ideology &thoughts.

One of the most important traits of a true leader

A leader is someone who can think of being ideal of every individual working under her/him. I try to be the same.

Suggestions for the current youth

Use mobile phones & social media for your own good & try to be useful to the society.
