What plans are you currently (or will be) designing for students?
We always adhere to the course and syllabus of Bharathiyar University, and based on that, we plan the for students’ progress. We encourage the students to participate in hands-on training to hone their abilities, which is a strength of our department.
What do you think should be the College’s top priority over the next ten years?
Our top priority is to be research-oriented. We aspire to advance as educators and enhance student communication in remote areas. Our fundamental objectives include competitive tuition, generous financial aid, and work-study opportunities. We want diversity of students in our college and an emphasis on their careers and successful placement outcomes.
How do you try to bring practicality to subjects and make them industry-oriented?
Students are assigned to work on tasks related to the concepts taught by teachers in the computer lab. We also organize hands-on training sessions. This ensures synchrony between the theory and practical knowledge of students. Besides this, certification with hands-on instruction is compulsory for the students. Furthermore, in the third and final year, students visit the industries and are ready to enter the industries as interns.
How do you strategize the curriculum, and how often does it get updated for the needs of the student?
We develop our curriculum based on the syllabus of Bharathiyar University because we are associated with them. The university provides guidelines for students' careers and teaching methodologies, and we design our curriculum and approaches to support student and staff career development.

Do you have any extracurricular activities/ programs for the skill enhancement of the students or exposure to real-world challenges?
We have clubs for our department where members can participate in activities like debugging, group discussions, quizzes, and debates based on industry standards. We conduct personal development exercises where students are made aware of their ignorance. We also encourage students to participate in internships during their semester off and certification programs (online or offline) which is essential for developing their practical knowledge.
What are the challenges you faced/ are facing to uplift the quality of education at your college?
When I started working as a teacher, the biggest challenge I faced was the sound of my voice in classes. I faced abuse because of my voice in front of the students, so I worked on improving myself. I ask questions daily to prevent students from making fun of my voice. They won't comprehend that suffering, and there are many difficulties for teachers in this generation in bridging the gap between them and their students.
When you came to college, what was your vision, and how are you trying to achieve the same?
I entered the teaching profession to impart my knowledge to students. I aim to foster the students' cultural development, personality, and professional advancement. I'm working diligently to fulfill this goal with management's assistance, and when I have free time, I'd like to pursue my doctorate.
How does the department/college enhance the skills of the faculty and prepare them according to industry standards?
My department’s chair pushed me to enroll in a faculty development program. I am free to visit seminars and off-campus internships to publish articles and share my knowledge. We also refine our proficiency and correct our mistakes when students ask questions based on their input. I am an NIRF coordinator. Since we are only at the participation level, we must improve our knowledge and reach the advanced level in NIRF. It is one of the best ways to showcase my department's and my college's capabilities.
What are the college’s greatest strengths, and how can they be enhanced?
My institution's greatest strengths are management, infrastructure, and discipline. When compared to other colleges in the area of Karamadai, my college excels in these areas. Management does not take any unusual activity in front of the personnel or students. They offered me the flexibility to execute any strategy to secure placements and 100% admittance.

What valuable advice would you like to give the students for they to have a prosperous career ahead?
My recommendation to students is to study hard and refrain from being silly. Although theoretically, they are decisive but just need to improve. Every pupil should learn from their teacher and follow their instructions. Obedient students will succeed better in their careers. Students ought to be decent people. They ought to engage in some social activities. Do something innovative to address these social issues. Finally, I want to mention that students should be good human beings and respect others.
