What is your opinion on the New Education Policy 2020?

“NEP will bring transformation in the education sector”

Overall, NEP 2020 is a remarkable step to develop future-ready professionals with a strong foundation of Indian values and ethos. However, few provisions included in the policy must have been mentioned as mandatory, such as, using regional language during primary education to ensure our ancient languages' learning. Instead, they have been mentioned as guidelines. Consequently, government schools would adopt such policies, and private schools would continue the same way, creating a void between students passing out of these two schools' categories.

What are the new programs that you are offering at MIT World Peace University, which will help students outperform and stand apart from the crowd?

“We make sure to provide a holistic developmental space to the students”

The mandatory programs offered by the Faculty of Peace Studies at MIT World Peace University are taught in all our academic programs and promote the holistic development of our students. Electives offered by the MIT School of Government and Sustainability Studies to all the programs also help our students outperform and stand apart from the crowd.

What is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“A great quality of an effective leader is to build an understanding at the root level”

To become a worthy and a great leader, one has to learn to solve the unstructured problems – the one who can make his/her team work with a diverse group of people and achieve desired team goals and share the success with each team member. I believe and follow the above-described leadership style.

How does your decades of experience help you in your daily operations at MIT World Peace University, Pune?

“My experience has helped me to better understand education”​

  • My 16+ years of experience has helped me understand that data-driven analytical skills are very crucial in decision making for any leadership role.
  • Agreeing to disagree and still smoothly sailing through heated team discussions to solve the unstructured problems is the most essential skill that helps me deliver in my daily operations at MIT-WPU.

Our industry partnerships facilitate learning through an industrial, academic and research alliance. As described earlier, this is facilitated by the Centre for Industry Academia Partnerships (CIAP) at MIT-WPU.
