Mrs. Meenu Singh is presently the Chairman of Mahadevi Institute of Technology, Dehradun. She has been associated with World Buddha Foundation Trust as a trustee and manager since 1997, and also heads and manages a school run by the foundation HiQ International Academy, Dehradun. Moreover, she has been a member of the MKP College Society, Dehardun and has successfully completed two tenures as the First Woman President of MKP.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities to the students are?

“Help and assistance in their educational journey”

My role and responsibility towards the students is that whenever they require a helping hand it should always be there. And not only that, if they are wrong somewhere, they need to be corrected and advised so that they may not repeat the same mistake ever again. This helps the students in their growth and will also help them in their professional careers.

What do you think should be the institute’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“Producing professionally good citizens”

Over the next 10 years, the institute’s top priority should be to provide such students to society who are able to stand on their own feet and move ahead with all the changing scenarios and challenges of society. Actually, life is moving at a very fast pace and these students are the future of our society, and we at MIT will be making sure to take care of these budding plantlets. We strive to help them to move at that pace with the new and latest courses and guidelines that we will be introducing in the near future.

What are the opportunities available for the growth of students at MIT?

“Potential industrial practices and placement training”

The faculties work day in and day out for conducting seminars, workshops and internship programs for the students that help them grow and proliferate in a defined direction. Also, there is a placement cell that assures that the students get a good job from campus selection itself. The faculty trains the students and makes them industry-ready so that once they step out of the educational environment into the industrial one, they are capable of performing the given tasks with ease and professionalism.

What do you see as MIT’s greatest strengths?

“Faculty, campus and students”

The greatest strength of Mahadevi Institute of Technology is its well-behaved students, talented faculty and its centralized location. MIT is located in the heart of Dehradun and is easy to reach from all parts of the city. Also, the campus and infrastructure are well structured to cater to the needs of students. 

Any suggestions you would like to give to the aspiring students?

“Respect your time and upgrade with it”

My message to the aspiring students is that time is the utmost precious thing in life. Do not waste your time on illogical things. The students should try and get professional in all educational and industrial fronts. These qualities will help them professionally and build their personal life happier and brighter giving a sense of satisfaction.

How do you tend to establish a healthy environment in your institute?

“Building stronger relations and helping each other”

The institute enjoys a very healthy relationship between students and faculty that creates a positive and affirming environment for all. The faculties are very understanding and the same is the case with students. If the students face any problems or difficulties related to studies or on a personal level, the faculty and administration are always present to help them.
