What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

‘The satisfaction of learning, the education sector provides to the students can’t be measured”

Since May 2015, I am working as a Principal, before that I worked as Vice-principal, HOD, and became a professor in 2006. I have a long journey of 28 years in JNTU. I joined here in 1992. Student satisfaction is the thing that connects me with the education sector. When I am taking the class, I look at every student through which I get the feedback. If the student's expression is good, I feel very good about that day. It is very important to take the feedback of the students in this profession.

Being the Principal, what is your philosophy of leadership? How would you describe your leadership style?

“The hierarchical and vertical organization leadership is my style of working for growth”

In the Government organization, if the Principal works, HODs works. If the HODs work faculty works if the faculty works non-teaching staff works. In a government organization, a leader must prove that he is capable of doing the work and he is having knowledge. In a private organization, lower-order will work due to job insecurity. Unless I don't take the charge or impress the students with my teaching skills, they won't listen to me. The more the time the principal stays on the campus to understand the things that are going on.

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your school?

“We need not market ourselves”

Generally student before taking admission, they can see the review, every parent knows about college from online reviews. Our alumni are the best ambassadors for marketing us and to bring students to our college.

How does the curriculum of your Institute ensure the best practice of industry?

“Collaborating with several industries for seminars and activity-based learning”

For the past 10 years, there are many regulations. University courses are changed regularly. That is a very good practice because technology is so rapidly developing. Yesterday's technology is outdated today. Lots of automation taking place I feel that reviewing the curriculum every year and following the trends of industry is the best practice of JNTU.

The education systems in India and other foreign countries are structured very differently. In your experience, what can an inbound student gain from studying here in your institute?

“The insights of every country towards education are similar and well structured”

I feel that the curriculum in our country is not different from other countries. I have visited very famous universities in the USA. That was in the year 2006. If you see the present day scenario, everything we can learn through the internet like NPTEL, Geeks for geeks. That is why we have an established internet center that works from 8 AM to 10 PM. So students can watch about subjects. The only thing is the student must speak and learn the things. I have seen that there is no difference between other universities in the world and our university.

Any insights into how your university could be more welcoming to students of different races or economic backgrounds?

“The college promotes equality in diversity and doesn’t support racism”

Out of 100 students, 80 to 90 percent of students are scholarship holders. There are students from various categories and various places and different backgrounds. Some students have poor communication, we have provided facilities to such students, we have to change their mindset. That is the biggest challenge and we are tackling it well.

When you first came to JNTUH CEJ, what was your vision for the university? Has it evolved, and how far along in implementing that vision is you?

“The educational sector is perpetual of evolving to develop the Nation”

I never thought about the university, but of course, I am a part of this university, and my personal development matters. In the next 10 years, I started working in the department of, research and I have completed 8 PhDs. As long as I have been HOD, I thought only about the department. Once I became the principal, I started noticing the competition and imparting the quality of education and discipline in the college. We take feedback from parents and students.

What do you see as the Institute’s greatest strengths?

“Experienced faculty with a great learning curve to enhance the institute”

The greater strength of JNTU is the team. More experienced faculty we have. Their experience is important in development. Another thing is that every year we visit several colleges and learn something. It is an opportunity for us to see what the practices others are doing are. And our campus is completely ragging free. We monitor our students and motivate them, encourage them to be good and disciplined.

How do you tend to establish a healthy relation and environment in your institute?

“Maintaining the decorum and discipline is the primary focus”

Discipline is the first thing for every institute. The student coordinators will look after every student's attendance, discipline, punctuality, behavior. Thorough information to the parents will be given and from beginning to the end of the course, student coordinator will look after the student like their academic performance and also health which is very important in the Aviation sector. We look after everything from morning to evening and also update it to the parents.
