Dr. S.Sai Satyanarayana Reddy has been working since 2020 , as the Principal of Sreyas Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, Telangana and Professor in CSE Department . He has done B.E in Civil Engineering, M.E. in Systems Information from BITS Pilani, PhD in Computer Science and Engineering, SMIEEE, FIE, FIETE, CE, LMISTE, LMCSI, MASEE, MIAENG, and MGED as part of his academics. He has a rich 28 years of experience in Industrial, Teaching, Administration and Research domains and has also published various articles in National and International Journals and Conferences. And throughout his academic career, he has worked as a Principal of Vardhaman College of Engineering, Hyderabad for 6 ½ years, as a Professor of Lakireddy Bali Reddy College of Engineering, Mylavaram for 10 years and as the Department Head of CSE at Vazir Sultan College of Engineering, Khammam for 8 years. In addition to this, he is a BOS Chairman for the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at SIETand KITS Warangal , BOS Member for K.U. in Computer Science & Engineering, Warangal, Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow of IETE and I.E, Life Member of CSI and ISTE, Member of ASEE, GEDC and IFEES. He has also published 80+ research papers in various International and National Journals and conferences, is a Google Scholar with 139 Citations, 6 H-Index and 4 i10-Index. He has authored a book on Intellectual Property Rights and Multimedia Security Paradigms, worked as an Editor of Advancements in Security and Privacy Initiatives for Multimedia Images. Also, he has visited numerous countries including USA, Canada, Italy, Australia, South Korea, China, Israel, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Dubai, Spain, Netherlands and Ireland to attend conferences and give presentations. He has 8 patents on his name and he is a certified professional on technologies like IBM Mainframes- DB2, RAD, RFT, Lotus Notes, Cisco Network CCNA, Silver light, Azure, Hadoop Technologies and Matlab. He has received the Vidya Ratna Award from the Economic for Health and Educational Growth in New Delhi, Asia's Best Research Award from IMURE in Thailand for his amazing work on cognitive and Behavioral therapies for positional vertigo disorders, Best Teacher Award in 2018 by CBI of Hyderabad.

Which latest programs are you offering in your institute to help students stand apart from the crowd?

"We are offering Minor Degree courses in the emerging field of AI, ML and Data Science"

Our college is offering regular Engineering courses including Computer Science and Engineering program in regular domain and in AI, ML and Data Science, Electronics and Communication Engineering course along with Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. But we have recently introduced a Minor Degree Program in AI & ML and Advanced Web Designing as per the JNTU guidelines and after receiving necessary approvals from JNTUH (LITE Program). Both these courses will be really helpful for students from Placement point of view.

A Degree in AI and Data Science will help our students to understand how these technologies are playing a major role in the business world and then they can use the same knowledge to make big decisions and add value to their organizations. And they will have tremendous opportunities in different sectors be it medicine, transport, social sciences, biosciences or sports. So upcoming growth opportunities and learning windows are the best in my opinion for why students should pursue these courses from our institute. 

What will you say are the best practices of your institute's courses?

"We educate our students about programming languages and emerging cloud technologies"

We mainly deliver Outcome Based Education (OBE) as our main aim is to strengthen student’s technical concepts and practical knowledge. And for the same, we are offering CRT Training to our students from first year of B. Tech itself. After regular CRT training, every week students are assessed and their performance is evaluated and based on those results, we make necessary changes and address their queries accordingly.

In addition to this, we educate them about various soft and hard communication skills along with offering them company specific training on emerging technologies like Salesforce, Google Cloud and AWS and sessions to learn programming languages like C, C++, JAVA and Python etc.

How did you train your faculty to deliver the programs to students in the best possible way?

"They train themselves through NPTEL and MOOC certification courses"

For the purpose of upgrading their skills and knowledge in accordance with latest technological developments and industry requirements, our faculties regularly do necessary certification courses which are offered by EPAM, AWS, Honeywell and Microsoft Azure and many of them have even cleared NPTEL and MOOC exams. And after that they train our students in collaboration and support with qualified trainers. 

How do you build a strong connection between your college courses and industry demands?

"We have done alliance with ICT Academy and IUCEE to bridge the gap"

We have done collaboration and have even signed MOUs with ICT Academy, IUCEE and many reputed MNCs so that we can bridge the gaps between our recently introduced Degree Programs and industry expectations. 

What challenges have you faced while inculcating these programs in your curriculum?

"Some of our students are still receiving education as per old syllabus and it is a real challenge for us"

As we have achieved Autonomous status for our college from academic year 2022-23, we don’t have any problem with including new courses in our curriculum and doing necessary modifications in it. and modifications in the syllabus. But our old batches of 2019-20, 2020-21 and 2021-22 were affiliated to JNTU and are receiving education as per old syllabus, so this I believe is a challenge for us. But we are taking additional steps and arranging training sessions in new technologies for them.

On what kinds of projects your students are currently working on under these courses? 

"Students are working on wonderful projects with reputed organization like ISRO, BHEL and DRDO"
