Collegedunia Team: Describe the general setting of WAT / GD (if any).

Pankaj: There was no GD/ WAT, as the selection process was conducted online. So, only PI was conducted for around 20 minutes each.

Collegedunia Team: What was the WAT/GD Topic?

Pankaj: The topic given was- The impact of social media on relationships and communication.

Collegedunia Team: What was your answer/points put forward for the WAT or GD respectively?

Pankaj: Social media has had a significant impact on the way people communicate and interact with one another. On the one hand, it has made it easier for people to stay connected with friends and family members who are physically distant, and has given people the ability to communicate with a larger number of people more quickly and efficiently. On the other hand, it has also had some negative effects on relationships and communication.

One concern is that the use of social media can lead to a lack of genuine communication and connection. Many people find themselves scrolling through their social media feeds instead of engaging in face-to-face conversations or engaging in other forms of real-life social interaction. This can lead to a lack of deep, meaningful communication and connection with others.

Another concern is that social media can foster the development of superficial or shallow relationships. With the proliferation of social media, it has become easier to present a highly curated and filtered version of oneself online, which can create a distorted view of reality and lead to the development of relationships that are based on superficial qualities rather than genuine connection and understanding.

Additionally, social media has made it easier for people to engage in cyberbullying and other forms of online aggression, which can have serious consequences for the mental health and well-being of both the perpetrator and the victim.

Overall, while social media has certainly had some positive effects on communication and relationships, it is important for people to be aware of its potential downsides and to use it in a way that promotes healthy, meaningful communication and connection with others.

Collegedunia Team: Describe the general setting of your personal Interview.

My suggestion would be not to panic and answer the questions with ease.

Collegedunia Team: Mention any three reasons why you chose this college over other colleges which you converted.

Pankaj: The three main reasons were:

Reputation: One reason a student may choose a particular college or university over others is because of the school's reputation or prestige. This can be based on the quality of the academic programs, the research conducted at the school, the success of the school's graduates, or other factors that contribute to the overall prestige of the institution.

Location: Another factor that may influence a student's decision to attend a particular college is the school's location. This can be important for a variety of reasons, including proximity to family and friends, access to internships and job opportunities, and the overall quality of life in the area.

Affordability: For many students, the cost of tuition and other expenses is an important consideration when choosing a college or university. Students may choose a school that offers financial aid or scholarships, has lower tuition costs, or has a good track record of helping students secure loans or grants to help cover the cost of their education.
