You have held key positions at education institutes throughout your professional career. What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“To share my knowledge of Environment Architecture education with students connects me with the education sector”

After gaining some professional experience from Ahmedabad and working in environmental projects, I decided to share my knowledge of Environment Architecture education with students. And with today's need and crises about the environment education field, I decided to join Anantrao Pawar College of Architecture to update myself, as well as make students aware about this in the educational field.

At Anantrao Pawar College of Architecture, how do you strategize about the key programs and plans for your college?

“Organize workshops, seminars, competitions for research papers and other events for campus”

To upgrade students at Anantrao Pawar College of Architecture, various workshops, seminars, competitions for research papers and other events related to the environment are also arranged. Students from all year specially 3 and 4 th year are encouraged to take part in these activities.

How is the curriculum at Anantrao Pawar College of Architecture the best practice of industry?

“Exposure to deal with practical issues that take place in society are available to students”

In the curriculum of Anantrao Pawar College of Architecture, our students get to work on small projects and also interact with senior architects working on environmental projects. The students get an exposure to deal with practical issues taking place in the society .

What are the benefits and career options after pursuing the different courses from your college in the future?

“Career opportunities like Green Building consultant, various building projects, with Environmental agencies like IGBC, GRIHA LEED and more”

Students have many opportunities after passing out from college. They can review ongoing environmental projects, make building audit assessment reports for a project. They can also work as a Green Building consultant, for certification of various building projects with Environmental agencies like IGBC, GRIHA LEED etc. They can take up various society based and industry funded projects which will help in policy making decisions at state and central level.

What kind of opportunity does your college provide to the students to pursue their dreams?

“Provide visits to various existing national international sites like Auroville, Pondicherry and more”

Students are made aware of various organizations TERI, CBIR who work on many sustainable projects. They get to visit various existing national international sites like Auroville, Pondicherry ETC.

What are some of the biggest challenges you see for higher education in general and Anantrao Pawar College of Architecture specifically?

“We have not faced any challenges yet”

Students are made aware of overseas education courses, available in different counties. We give various interaction sessions with Alumina students, online lectures, experts etc are kept in the college for the students.

Any suggestions you would like to give to the current youth and the aspiring students?

“Always aware about the technical skills and situations happening around the world”

Environmental aspects are a major concern. In today's world, students should be made aware about it. Whenever they are designing for any projects, they should consider various aspects such as energy crises, water recycling, waste management, and follow a sustainable approach for their design.
