RKDF University Ranchi, Registrar: Dr. Amit Kumar Pandey Interview

Dr. Amit Kumar Pandey is the Registrar of RKDF University Ranchi. RKDF University Ranchi had taken a great initiative to preserve the tribal languages of Jharkhand and had published the“ Jharkhand Tribal dictionary” under the Advisory of Dr. Amit Kumar Pandey. He has over 8 years of teaching experience in the Dept. of Microbiology at RKDF University, Bhopal. He has taught and coached various professionals and students and has delivered splendid lectures and presentations. His executive educational experience includes Innovative Management techniques and leadership quality and development which stands to be an x-factor and an inspiration for many success at such a young age. He received his M. Sc Microbiology degree in 2010 and Ph.D. Microbiology degree in 2013 from Rani Durgavati University, Jabalpur, M. P. He has over 2 years 5months experience in research as a Junior Research fellow from December 2010 till 2013, entitled “Taxonomy Building of Fungi” and the funding agency for the project was the Ministry of Environment and Forestry New Delhi. He had efficiently handled several instruments like PCR, Digital pH meter, BOB Incubator, Hot air oven, Cooling Centrifuge machine, Laminar Air Flow, TLC, UV-VIS DU – Spectrophotometer, Microscope, Electrophoresis Apparatus, Autoclave.

What do you think your roles and responsibilities?

“My role is to provide the chancellor with executive leadership”

Being a Registrar, I provide executive leadership in assisting the chancellor in the overall planning. I also assist in organizing, controlling finances, administration, and academic program areas. I take a keen interest in solving students’ problems that need more attention. It is my responsibility to provide the students an atmosphere for their overall growth and the necessary knowledge and skills to make them better professionals.

What are the key factors that keep you connected with the education sector?

“Dedication and Passion are the key factors that kept me connected to the education sector”

The factors which keep connected me with the education sector are Dedication and Passion, Quality education for society, woman empowerment through education, free education donation for social upliftment, and practical and industry-oriented program for skill India.

What is your leadership philosophy?

“My leadership philosophy is based on Discipline, Passion, and Determination”

My philosophy of leadership is to Believe in reality rather than real. Strong leadership is key to successfully running a team and organization. Discipline and passion determination give me a positive attitude toward better society reform through education. I believe in a collaborative, 360’ approach style of leadership in a decentralized way. Motivation is the factor to keeps the morale of the team high and allows them to work freely in a stress-free atmosphere.

How do you strategize about the key programs and plans for the marketing and administration of your university? 

“I strategize about the key programs for the marketing through updation of the course materials”

Marketing is the key factor for the success of any organization. University believes in word of mouth, quality of professors & Marketing team strategy. We always try to keep ourselves updated with the current trends in the education sector and chose a correct marketing plan accordingly as per the situation. We believe in education for all so we offer Scholarships to the student, we offer the platform of E Kalyan for student financial support. Centralize marketing strategy and reporting, making a digital-friendly brand, proper use of social media for marketing, Cultural activities, webinars/ seminars/FDP, and user-friendly website are the tools of marketing.

What can an inbound student gain from studying here in your college?

“Inbound Students would gain in-depth knowledge from studying in the college”

India is a developing country. We are now in the phase of New India which formulated a structured educational system for the Society. RKDF University believes in Quality Education. At RKDF University we have adopted many measures to make sure that the students get the best experience. The teachers are well-trained and have command over their subject. This in turn makes the student’s concept clear. We teach them the purpose of studying what they choose to study and how it is going to benefit them. Our aim here is to make our students totally “Focus on an in-depth knowledge of all the subjects”

RKDF Group has a special scheme for the girl students and ones who are differently-abled, or a minority, hearing impaired, and international candidates. Our chancellor’s scholarship is designed for the low-income group and other schemes are given to the privileged students based on their merit. 

What do you think should be the college’s top priority over the next 10 years?

“College’s top priority is to give quality education to the students”

The top priority is to give quality education to the students. Providing proper training to the teachers and keeping them updated with the latest technology and pedagogy. Lastly, I want RKDF to be established as a brand and leave its own impact all over the nation.

When you first started RKDF University, Ranchi, what was your vision for the university? 

“My vision was to make RKDF University one of the best universities in India”

My vision as a Registrar of the university at the time of joining was to Make RKDF University, Ranchi one of the best universities in India. Who provides Quality education to students from all parts of society and makes them Quality professionals as per the demand of the Industry. And also provide skills through training that are important in encouraging entrepreneurial thinking in our students. We have been successful in achieving this to a great extent but still, our efforts are continuing the same.

What would you like people to know about your college they may not know?

“People should know about how my college has focused on environmental conservation”

RKDF is focusing on environmental conservation as a necessary part of the education system. We want everyone to know that with our regular courses our priority is to safeguard and Conserve the environment. And also make our students eco-conscious and skilled professionals. RKDF University Ranchi’s Research achievements, seminars, and international conferences are also making University popular among the general public.

“Students should identify their skills and keep working on improving them”

Identify your skills and keep adding to the list. Make sure that you do it for the betterment of those around you. Show empathy towards your surroundings and most importantly, be kind and honest with others. And their aim has to be always “Work towards sustainable development “of their society and their surroundings.
