Dr. Manish Kumar Mukhija is Associate Professor & HOD of the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Arya Group of Colleges. He obtained his B.E in Information Technology, M.E in Computer Science & Engineering, and his Ph.D. degree in the area of Computer Science and Engineering. He has 15 years of teaching experience and published 30 journals in international journals. He has organized 32 international, national, FDP, and Workshops. He has attended 35 national and international conferences. He is an Accreditation In-charge at NBA (AIET) and NBA (MITRC). He has handled Administrative Responsibilities at Center Superidental RTU/BTU exam and coordinator of RTU evaluation center. He has a professional association membership at IAENG and ACM.

What are your roles and responsibilities towards the students?

“Providing students with new technologies in the field of Computer Science and Engineering”

Being the HOD of the Computer Science Department, my roles & responsibility are as follows:

  • To prepare students for successful careers and lifelong learning in computer science and engineering with strong professional ethics and behavior
  • To encourage innovation, product design, and new technologies
  • To provide a necessary support system to students so that they can be turned into future leaders. 

Be it an engineer, or a scholar, or a scientist, I wish all students should excel in their career and discover their hidden potentials so that they can present their best version. 

How do you tend to establish healthy relations with the students and faculty?

“By organizing various interactive sessions for both students and faculty members”

What are your views upon the placements and higher education about the students?

“Providing students with a wide range of career options both for placement and higher education”

When it comes to campus placement, I can say that Computer Science Engineering is the only department whose maximum students are placed with top recruiters. Some of the prestigious companies where our students got placed are Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, IBM, Cognizant, Accenture, HCL, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, and Wipro. 

When it comes to higher education, M.Tech in Computer Science is one of the preferred options for students. But we suggest students pursue a master’s program after taking some work experience as it doubles their career prospects. 

What was your vision for the college from the start and you are implementing them?

“To make our college Center of Excellence in the area of Computer Science & Engineering”

As I joined the Arya College my vision was to make the college the Centre of Excellence in the area of Computer Science & Engineering to fulfill the needs of the society and the industry in a self-sustainable manner. To achieve this vision, we are making dedicated efforts to enhance the computers skills of students along with a Student Development Cell for the all-around development of students.

How does the curriculum of your department focus on the key areas of the present time?

“Providing students with advanced learning in the area of Computer Science and Engineering”

The curriculum of the Computer Science branch is carefully designed taking into account the current and future needs of the industry. Thus, it enables students to get advanced learning and focus on key areas such as:

What do you see as the department’s greatest strengths and how it can be enhanced?

When we talk about the department’s greatest strengths, the technologically advanced and well-equipped labs require a special mention as it fulfills the practical knowledge related needs of the students as per RTU Curriculum. The department has 20 different labs that deliver the best practical experience to students. With advanced equipment and computers, these labs should also have trained professionals and instructors who can provide the best explanation to the students.

How does the department enhance the skills of the faculty?
