Which is better, CSE in NIT Jalandhar or CSE in IIITM Gwalior?
I have few friends from both IIITM Gwalior and NIT Jalandhar. Based on the review I got from them I will say CSE at IIITM G is better. The campus of the college is astonishing along with the many hostel facilities provided to the students. It is better than almost all the NITs in terms of education provided, quality of faculty, opportunities provided, and placements.
During the summer internships and placements in IIITM Gwalior, many opportunities are provided to all the students of B.Tech or students pursuing five years of integrated courses in CSE. Prestigious companies like Flamingo, Brightmoney, Aditya Birla Group, and many others provided a chance to all the students. According to the placement statistics of 2021 the average CTC offered was 11 LPA.
Which one's better, CSE at NIT Jalandhar or CSE at PEC, Chandigarh?
PEC Chandigarh is a better option for Computer Science and Engineering, considering the factors of placement, curriculum, and the overall development of the students in the institute.

- The curriculum followed by PEC Chandigarh is very much similar to that of IITs. It is updated as per the requirements of the industry. This is a great advantage over the other as NIT Jalandhar follows the same syllabus followed by other NITs across India.
- PEC Chandigarh provides proper facilities in the institute for the overall development of the student during the course.
- Through the engagement of technical societies in PEC, students in CSE get exposure to an in-depth study of subjects relevant to Computer Science and Engineering.
Considering all the above factors, it can be concluded that PEC Chandigarh is, without doubt, a better choice for a B.Tech degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
Which one should I choose, IIIT Allahabad (IT), MNIT Allahabad (IT), NIT Bhopal (CSE), or NIT Jalandhar (CSE)?
IIIT Allahabad is better than MNIT Allahabad if you are interested in coding. Although NITs and IIIT Allahabad both are centrally funded technical institutes. The only difference is the course curriculum as IIIT Allahabad focuses only on IT and ECE. Due to this, minor subjects like Chemistry, Applied Mechanics, Engineering Drawing are dropped in 1st and 2nd semester itself.
NITs have a long legacy making it more reputable with strong alumni across all domains. On the other hand, IIITA is a young institution and follows innovative academic policies. Its alumni members are even present in Silicon Valley in a short span of time.
You can decide your own priorities in the career. If you are interested in coding culture and look forward to great internships and placements with a small cozy campus, you should prefer IIIT Allahabad. You should opt for MNIT Allahabad if you are interested in meeting new people with diverse backgrounds. It will help you in enhancing your personality.
If you ask me, my vote goes for IIIT Allahabad on all these below parameters.
- College Life: IIIT Allahabad is an institute of national importance, and boasts one of the best campuses in the country. Whereas, MNNIT is not even on the edge.
- Placements: 96% of the students got placed and received job offers from more than 120 companies. All major Computer Science companies like Google, Facebook, Amazon, and Adobe come to IIIT Allahabad's campus and make offers.

IIIT Allahabad has placements in Google Mountain View/ Europe/ Australia/Japan from almost every Batch from the past 4-5 years. IIIT Allahabad was preferred by these companies because a lot of alumni already worked in these companies and better industry perception has been built up.
The strength in NIT-A is approximately twice as compared to IIIT-A. And every year this strength keeps increasing. As you know that the quality decreases with the increase in strength, I would again suggest you choose IIIT-A.

The faculty of this department is really cooperative, they will not pressurize you during their B.Tech. It is your responsibility to take the initiative and explore the opportunities because you will not be spoon-fed in college. But you can always approach the faculty regarding any problem.
If we talk about the placement scenario, there are a good number of companies that come to the campus and you can only get placed if you study hard. The campus scenario for the previous years has not been good but it has still ranked among the best campus placements. You can also try and study some advanced courses in classes that will help you to improve your CV.
Which one is better to pursue, chemical engineering at NIT Jalandhar or CSE at IET DAVV?
NIT Jalandhar and IET DAVV, both are equally good options but here, we are going to analyze the two concerning different categories. NIT seems to be the better option as it is ranked at #52 by NIRF when compared with IET DAVV and the overall rating suggests the same.

- NIT has a placement rate of 92.06% for Chemical Engineering. The Placement percentage is lower for IET DAVV.

- The average package awarded to the students in CSE is 4.5 lakh per annum by IET DAVV.
- A huge amount of companies visit the campuses every year. NIT receives firms like Adobe, Microsoft, etc., while IET DAVV receives firms such as VMware, etc.

- As opposed to the Placement category, IET DAVV stands apart when it comes to the campus environment.
- The college conducts so many events from Day 1, namely - Engineer’s Day, Welcome Party, Invento, etc.
NIT Jalandhar
- NIT has a separate central library with various stationery stores and restaurants available on campus.
- In NIT, the gender ratio is 5:7. They offer various clubs and societies like the Robotics Club, Music Club, Dance Club, etc.
Faculty: NIT’s faculty is very approachable as opposed to that of IET DAVV. Students are free to contact the teachers through the mail, Whatsapp, call at any time of the day.
Both the colleges stand apart in different aspects and are good within their sphere but ultimately it is you who knows which option is better.
What would be the right choice between an ICE at NIT Jalandhar and a CSE at IIIT Guwahati?
According to my friends studying at IIIT Guwahati, CSE is a better choice than pursuing ICE at NIT Jalandhar. Though there are various reasons why ICE at NIT Jalandhar is also a very good program. As NIT is an older institute, they have more alumni and industry connections and a decent placement record compared to that of IIIT Guwahati.

However compelling all these might me, there are many reasons for choosing CSE at IIIT Guwahati over the other which are listed below –
- CSE is one of the most demanding branches currently and will continue to be.
- All IIITs in India including IIIT Guwahati have a robust mechanism in place for prepping up their students for Google Summer of Coding (GSoC). This instills a coding culture among the students.
- The proximity of IIT Guwahati makes it favorable for IIIT Guwahati in terms of placements. This also gives it an edge over NIT Jalandhar.
- Guwahati has its own commercial airport which makes it easier for the placement committee to bring top officials of big companies to the campus.
Even though its placements are very much close to that of NIT Jalandhar, in some cases it exceeds it as well. The growth potential of the institute is higher in comparison to NIT Jalandhar. Hence, it is advisable to go for CSE at IIIT Guwahati rather than ICE at NIT Jalandhar. However, if you prefer ICE, then go for it.
Which is a better choice: NIT Jalandhar IT (starting from this year) or IIITDM Jabalpur CSE?
NIT Jalandhar is regarded as an Institute of national importance. It offers courses in the fields of management and engineering. IIITDM Jabalpur has been approved by UGC and the Ministry of Human Resource Development. It offers courses in engineering and design.

NIT Jalandhar and IIITDM Jabalpur offers BTech programs for IT and CSE.

IT course at NIT Jalandhar is a relatively new course and touches upon all aspects of information technology. It is very close to Computer Science but extends beyond that to other applications of IT as well.

Admission at NIT Jalandhar requires the students to give JEE Mains and Advanced and secure an above average rank. The cutoffs are decided after the declaration of the result.

For admission at IIITDM Jabalpur, students are required to score at least 50% in their 10+2 board examinations as well as appear for JEE. Admission is completely based on merit.

Thus both these colleges are excellent in terms of education and placements. Students need to be careful of their JEE rank as both these colleges expect high scores from their prospective applicants. As for which institute will be better for you, you should be the one to decide that.
Should I choose UPTU College, NIT Goa, or NIT Jalandhar for CSE?
As one of my friends studied at NIT Jalandhar, I can tell you his experiences with the college. According to him, NIT Jalandhar is far better than NIT Goa or UPTU College, especially the CSE branch.
- The college is well established and has been earning a name for many years when compared to NIT Goa or UPTU College.
- There is proper equipment available for the students of the CSE branch along with the other facilities.
- Also, NIT Jalandhar has created a proper environment for all the students that can lead to their constant growth.
- NIT Jalandhar offers decent placement offers to students in various prestigious companies.

Internships at NIT Jalandhar are good. One of my friends studies at the NIT Jalandhar campus, so I will give its fair review.
- For an internship at Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar you can contact the NIT faculty. The faculty of NIT Jalandhar is available through email. You can find the faculty’s email address on NIT’s official website.
- Getting an internship also depends on faculty experience and how much knowledge they are sharing. But you will gain knowledge by working under experienced professors.
- Several companies such as Amazon, Samsung, G.E, and many more have offered internships previously. Mostly these companies conduct their online test to select candidates. You can also find more about NIT Internship on its Facebook Page name 'NIT Jalandhar Placements’.
During your internship period, you will get to learn many things. Several reputed companies come for campus placement and select students both as an intern and employee.
Which one is better: NIT Jalandhar in CSE or PEC in ECE?
Both NIT Jalandhar, as well as the PEC Chandigarh, provides full-time 4-year long UG courses for CSE and ECE. NIT Jalandhar has been ranked 52 by the NIRF rankings this year, while the PEC Chandigarh has been ranked 68 by the NIRF. The PEC Chandigarh is a Deemed University while NIT Jalandhar is a Government Institute.

NIT Jalandhar offers a B.Tech in CSE, while PEC Chandigarh offers a BE course in ECE.

PEC Chandigarh is quite famous in North India, while NITs have great recognition all over the world so it can be said in terms of brand value NIT Jalandhar is ahead. Also as far as placements are concerned, the CSE has an edge over the ECE. In every aspect may it be the placements, the overall fee structure, the faculty, the infrastructure, or the overall brand value, choosing CSE at NIT Jalandhar over the ECE in PEC Chandigarh would be more preferable.
