Both institutions are private colleges and there is not much difference between these two. They provide similar kinds of placement facilities. Some of my friends studying at both institutes pointed out that the overall performance of Neotia is better than UEM.
Categories | NITMAS | UEM |
Course Fee | 4.04 lakh | 5.81 LPA |
Highest CTC | 16 LPA | 12 LPA |
Average CTC | 8 LPA | 8 LPA |
Recruiting Companies | Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, etc. | Infosys, Byju’s, TCS, HCL, etc. |
Thus it is suggested that you check everything thoroughly before settling down at an institute. As this will shape your career, so choose wisely. The older colleges have more popularity among companies as well as students. They tend to be more reliable.
The major factor that drives the decision of which course to pursue is the placements.

Companies like Amazon, INTEL Technology, ISRO, DELL, Thermax, Tata Steel, and many more visited to recruit students during campus placements. If you are certain about your branch choice, then go for Civil at IIT Kanpur. If you aren’t sure about the branch then choosing IIT Kanpur among these three IITs will be better. In 2021, NIRF ranked IIT Kanpur #6 in the country. Although it’s not easy you can change your branch after a year. But you can’t change your college.

Velammal Engineering College, located in Chennai, is a well-known institution that offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including ECE. However, there are some concerns about the college that are mentioned below:
Lab Assistants: Most of them are rude, and the procedure to use lab equipment is lengthy. While this may be a concern, it's important to remember that lab assistants are responsible for ensuring that lab equipment is used safely and effectively. The procedures in place may be necessary to prevent damage to the equipment or ensure the safety of the students.
