Is it worth doing MBA from Delhi university- MBE and DFS colleges? What are the average packages?

AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : September 12th, 2023
lives in New Delhi

MBA programs from Delhi University's MBE and DFS colleges have a good reputation and are considered to be reputable institutions. Usually, the average salary for MBA graduates from Delhi University's MBE and DFS colleges is around INR 12-15 LPA. However, an MBA is not just about the salary package. It is a great way to develop your leadership, management, and strategic thinking skills, which can be beneficial regardless of your career path.

I feel it's totally worth doing an MBA from DFS as it offers specialized courses in Financial Management with a primary focus on finance. It offers the best ROI amongst the top colleges in the country. Its fee is as low as INR 26k while the average package hovers around 12-15 LPA.

Overall, DFS and MBE are not comparable with prestigious colleges like FMS and IIMs but are a great platform for Management education.

I've got two options, TAPMI PGDM and IRMA PRM. What should I choose?

AS
Alka Singh Posted On : March 9th, 2023
Studied at the Institute of Rural Management, Anand

When deciding on an MBA program, it's important to consider your interests and career goals. If you have an inclination towards rural management, then IRMA would be an excellent choice for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for a general MBA degree and specific profiles post-MBA, then TAPMI may be the better option.

If rural management is your area of interest, then IRMA should be at the top of your list. IRMA has a strong reputation for its rural management program and provides excellent opportunities for students interested in the field. On the other hand, if you're looking for a broader MBA degree and want to explore different profiles, then TAPMI may be a better fit.

When it comes to post-MBA profiles, TAPMI provides a variety of specializations to choose from, including finance, marketing, human resources, and operations. This means that you can choose a specialization that aligns with your interests and career goals. Additionally, TAPMI has a strong reputation in the industry and attracts many top recruiters, which can enhance your job opportunities post-MBA.

Ultimately, the decision between IRMA and TAPMI will depend on your individual interests and career aspirations. Make sure to research each program thoroughly and weigh the pros and cons of each before making a final decision.

What do you think about IIM Rohtak for an MBA?

SS
Shrachi Singh Posted On : August 2nd, 2021
Studied at Delhi University (2019)

IIM Rohtak is one of the most prestigious business schools in India and the oldest amongst the newer IIMs. It has recently been completed for ten years. Many of my colleagues have done their PG from IIM Rohtak. Based on the brief interaction I had with them here are some interesting details about the campus:

  • IIM Rohtak has an advantage of location proximity to NCR and because of this, the institution has a robust corporate connection as Rohtak is only an hour away from New Delhi. This gives IIM Rohtak an upper hand over other new IIMs
  • The factor which differentiates IIM Rohtak from other IIMs is that their placement reports are CRISILaudited which only a few IIMs do.
  • IIM Rohtak is also one of the few B-schools in India that is CFA-affiliated.
  • Its course curriculum is aligned with the CFA curriculum. This is a plus point for all those who want to or are pursuing CFA along with their MBA or are planning to do it after their MBA.
  • IIM Rohtak has a diversified culture with a unique mix of students from all backgrounds with the right mix of engineers and non-engineers.
  • Every year a cultural fest is organized named Infusion,a three-day event held in January.
  • The IIM Rohtak campus is among the best of the new generation IIMs, with lush green surroundings and a very calm and positive atmosphere.
Categories MBA at IIM Rohtak
Course Fee 16.55 lakhs
Placement Percentage 100%
Highest CTC 22.8 LPA
Average CTC 13.74 LPA
Recruiting Companies Mu Sigma, KPMG, Deloitte, Infosys, etc.

In conclusion, IIM Rohtak is an outstanding B-School, so if you are fortunate enough to get admitted, don’t miss that chance. IIMs provide you a platform and an opportunity to build your career, so make the most out of it.

Is Sunstone Eduversity good for doing an MBA?

BB
Bithika Bera Posted On : May 19th, 2021
MBA from Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad (2006)

I think I can give you some idea regarding the MBA course offered by Sunstone Eduversity, as my brother goes there. Most people look for a decent placement after an MBA degree. And Sunstone Eduversity has a quite unique trend regarding the same.

  • This university has a Pay After Placement model where you have to pay your course fees after getting placed into a top company with a decent package. This concept is very beneficial for the students and all the colleges and universities should start to adopt this concept.
  • You will also get a chance to do 9 months paid internship during your 2-year course with a stipend of around 15,000-25,000.

Hence, Sunstone Eduversity is a very good institute to pursue an MBA where you can learn a lot of practical knowledge too and the Pay After Placement model is one of the biggest advantages of this university.

At BHU, MBA is a good option as it provides a lot of quality placement opportunities. But your own efforts to acquire knowledge of the corporate world matter the most. You cannot just complete a course and expect to be placed at an MNC. You have to be ambitious and put in maximum effort.

How is IET Lucknow for an MBA?

SK
Shreya Kulkarni Posted On : August 3rd, 2021
Studies MBA at IIM Ahmedabad 2021

One of my friends is a recent alumni of the institute. According to him it is a really good institute. Let me share his experience which might help you get to know the college better.

  • A few years back, IET Lucknow offered MBA only in HR, Marketing, Finance, IT, and IB.
  • In case you want to go for IT or IB, you might have to study yourselves, without the assistance of the faculty.
  • The professors are usually supportive and extremely co-operative. However, their pedagogy is not as best as you can possibly anticipate. Most of the faculty is contract based.
  • Fundamentally, the HOD and the office boy are possibly the only permanent members of the institute.
  • The fees, however, are extremely low. It is 60,000 to 70,000 for a period of 2 years.
  • You should obtain a very good rank so as to enroll at IET Lucknow. My friend mainly secured the position of 72nd in the general category.
  • The placements for MBA students is not particularly the best.
Categories MBA at IET Lucknow
Course Fee 79,775 (1st year)
Course Duration 2 years
Highest CTC 20-30 LPA
Average CTC 8-10 LPA
Recruiting Companies IBM, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, etc.

You can choose enrolling at IET Lucknow since it is better than most other other institutes located in vicinity of it. Since IET Lucknow is also affordable, the general pressure of loans usually gets off the shoulders of students.
