They even end up going abroad for pursuing core subjects while some even join their family business. The placements at Nirma University do not manage to generate that sort of hype. SVNIT and Nirma University are both the top-most engineering colleges in Gujarat. But SVNIT, Surat is the better choice among the two if you are planning for IT. The reasons are shared below.

• There is less focus on practical assignments and projects in Nirma University as compared to SVNIT, Surat. The students learn the theories without any application. But in SVNIT, the students get practical exposure beyond coding and framing. There are various programs and activities conducted to keep the students engaged in the growth process.
• NIRMA University is deserted from the main city. On the other hand, SVNIT is in the heart of Surat.
• NIRMA does not offer hostel facilities to undergrads. While SVNIT has good campus facilities.

• You will have better chances of finding Govt. jobs from SVNIT. The course fee is also almost half for SVNIT as compared to NIRMA University.

Both the institutes have excellent placements. But the return on investment which you get in SVNIT is unbeatable.

My sister attends Nirma University, so, I think I can answer this question. Being one of the first private universities of Gujarat, it offers Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses in several fields, such as Architecture, Law, Science, Management, Technology, and Pharmacy.

I have a friend at Nirma University, so I can give you some ideas about the institute. 

• Fee structure-wise, you would have to pay 60,000 lakhs for the hostel fee. And for the tuition fee, you would have to pay 1,60,000 lakhs.
• The placement percentage goes around 75-80% and by referring to the official website of the university, the average package offered is around 8 LPA.
•  The campus is spread over a 125-acre area.
• The National Institute Ranking Framework (2020) ranks Nirma University 151.
• NAAC accredited Nirma University with an ‘A’ grade.

CSE at IIIT Vadodara is definitely a better option than CSE at Nirma University.

• Nirma University offers Computer Engineering while IIT Vadodara offers CSE which draws a fine line of difference for the CSE aspirants.
• IIIT Vadodara provides a distinguished course and curriculum. Students in other colleges are exposed only to mainstream engineering subjects. In contrast to them, IIIT Vadodara is parallel to that of IIIT-H, offering core courses from the beginning of the first year itself.
• IIIT-V provides students with an exceptional background in coding which is not likely presented at Nirma. Students take part in competitive coding on sites such as HackerRank, CodeChef, etc. Each year several students get selected for GSoC from IIIT-V.
• The faculty here is highly qualified with most of the professors holding Ph.D. degrees from renowned institutes. They are cooperative and provide proper guidance to the students. Daiict is the mentor institute of IIIT Vadodara. Many faculties pay their visit from Daiict.
• The placement opportunities are decent at IIIT-V. Students get internship opportunities from Atos, TCS, etc.
• In spite of not owning a permanent campus, the facilities provided at IIIT-V are satisfactory. The basic requirements such as proper AC labs and classrooms are fulfilled here.
• IIIT-V is known for conducting regular technical workshops.
• The hostel facilities at IIIT-V are better in comparison to other colleges.
• More importance is given to academics due to which co-curricular activities are few.

The ‘IIIT’ tag has influence therefore opting for IIIT Vadodara would be better than opting for Nirma University.

Nirma University is a highly rated university. It is among the highly preferred universities in the states of Gujarat and Rajasthan. Here is why you should choose Nirma University.

• High-skilled professors.
• Strict attendance system, which is necessary
• There are three exams. A lot of projects and assignments and, overburden of lab work. Overall, you need to work hard every day during your graduation life.

CTAE is also a good university but I have friends studying at CTAE and based on what I learned about the institute through them, I can tell you that Nirma is a better choice.

Pursuing MBA in any branch from any of the given colleges will give you the best curriculum and environment to grow and upskill yourself. The placement reports of these colleges are scaling recently. MBA in Finance is one among any of these that would be a great opportunity to grab and K J Somaiya will be a great option.

One of my cousins pursued Finance from K J Somaiya and he told me that good companies come for summer and final placements and offer a good package for finance people.

In terms of fees also K J Somaiya is better compared to other colleges given. You should not miss this chance to apply. Being located in the financial capital, it has an edge over others. TAPMI is good only for IT mainly and location plays a big advantage here.

BBA from all of these institutes, Nirma University, Symbiosis, and NMIMS is good. It now depends on whether you are willing to go for an MBA immediately after your graduation or not.

If you want to do an MBA and not want to get into giving entrances again, then go for Nirma, it is a decent pick. If you feel you can study in the 2nd and 3rd year of your graduation for MBA entrance exams. Then go for BBA from NMIMS or Symbiosis.

One thing more to note is whether you can study 5 years at a stretch in the same place or not. BBA from any of the above 3 is a good option. It depends on the choice of pursuing an MBA.
