For an M.Tech in bioinformatics, which one is better: IIIT Allahabad or MANIT Bhopal?
Among the institutes mentioned, IIIT Allahabad is a better alternative for Bioinformatics. One of my friends was also going through this same situation a few years back and he chose IIIT Allahabad. His experience at the institute has been quite good over the past 4 years.

M.Tech in Electrical Engineering programs offered by IIT BHU and IIT Bhubaneswar are not similar, so the choice must be based on what you are looking for in the program. The EE department of IIT BHU offers M.Tech programs in Electrical Machines and Drives, Power Systems, Control Systems, Power Electronics, and Interdisciplinary Systems Engineering. Whereas Electrical science department of IIT Bhubaneswar offers an M.Tech program in Power system engineering, and Electronics & Communication Engineering.
IIT BHU has one of the largest and well-connected alumni foundation in India. The placement scenario of EE is very good at IIT BHU. The M.Tech ECE placements are average at MNNIT Allahabad. The placements largely depend upon the expected number of recruitments from visiting companies for a particular year.

How is the placement of an MTech (EE) at IIT Kharagpur?
No IIT has department-specific placements and usually open to all placements are done wherein companies allow students from different branches to sit for placements. There are only a handful of core companies that discriminate between students of their branch and other branches not letting them sit for placements.
So MTech placements usually mean competing with a number of students from different branches for top companies like GE, Bosch, or Texas Instruments. Most visiting companies are software companies that allow students from most branches to participate.

M.Tech Mechanical from NIT Agartala is a decent choice. After this course, you can become a researcher or join the workforce.
The faculty for Mechanical is quite supportive, and there is almost no pressure from their side. You’ll have to depend on self-study, but the freedom is unmatched. The lab facility isn’t top-notch, so students collaborate with other colleges for research work.

Today, IIT Hyderabad is considered a highly esteemed engineering institute that has very young and dynamic professors. The unique aspect of the institute is its zeal for learning and exploring new things. The professors teach in such a way you will find the ambiance very friendly and light. Although some might hesitate to leave a 7 LPA job for higher studies, I would recommend the opposite. I can guarantee the institute's worth and credibility in providing you with better job opportunities once you complete your Masters's from here. For a slight idea, the average salary of CS and EE after MTech is around 12-30 LPA, much more than your current salary.
Trust me when I say an MTech in CS or EE from IIT Hyderabad will be much more beneficial in the long run. However, if you are from a Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical background then I would suggest going for an MBA from Top IIMs.
Should I choose a mechanical degree from the BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus or a CS degree from the BITS Pilani Goa Campus?
Prior to mentioning anything, it depends upon what your preference is. However, if you relatively require a faster or simply an immediate placement following the course, then opting for BITS Pilani, Goa (CSE) can be a superior choice.

How is the M.Tech atmosphere (workload) in SVNIT Surat in mechanical engineering?
The workload for M.Tech Mechanical students is quite manageable at SVNIT.
In the first year of M.Tech, one has to complete the coursework and attend classes from 8:30 am to 5:40 pm. In the second year, one has to complete the dissertation work and Teaching Assistant Duty (which is for 8 hours per week). SVNIT offers five M.Tech specializations in the related fields. These are- Mechanical Engineering, CAD/CAM, Thermal System Design, Turbo Machines and Manufacturing Engineering. The workload varies from department to department.
