For CSE, there is no clear winner between the SRM Ghaziabad and SRM Sonepat. Both are part of SRM University and offer similar education, facilities, and placement assistance.
For CSE, SRM Sonepat placements are pretty good. According to the placement highlights, the CSE average CTC is INR 2.55 LPA. While SRM Ghaziabad CSE average package is INR 3.5 LPA. So, you won’t miss out on much, if you choose one of these institutes over the other.
This is indeed a difficult choice to make a decision in opting for the best college among the three mentioned above since every college has its pros and cons. However, one must have a clear image and idea about the type of college you want to get admitted to and make choices accordingly that match your prerequisites.

The details discussed above will assist you in making a wise decision about which college you want to prefer for CSE. However, the wants must be considered just like the placements, fee and faculties to make sure your chances of getting admitted.
CSE at Thadomal Shahani Engineering College (TSEC) focuses on the conception of computer software and hardware. The institute ranks 79th among the engineering colleges in Maharashtra by The Week and affiliated with the University of Mumbai.
KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research ranks 26th among the top private universities in India by NIRF. It has 131 highly qualified faculty members in the CSE department.

Placement statistics:
As far as curriculum and placements are concerned, both these institutes are quite good and offer excellent placements for CSE departments. Hence pursuing CSE from either of these colleges is a worthy choice.
As the question is specific about the CSE branch, Acharya Institute of Technology ( AIT ) would be a better option compared to CMR University in regard to placements. AIT was established a lot earlier than CMR University and functions as an autonomous body, while AIT is affiliated to VTU and ACITE norms.
Affiliation:
Being a newly established and Autonomous institute CMR wouldn’t compete against AIT when it comes to placements and campus opportunities.
AIT is not the only college with VTU affiliation, but also the Dayanand Sagar Academy of Technology and Management (DSTAM). What makes DSTAM standout among these three is the number of placements it offers each year. With consistent placement records ever since its establishment, DSTAM has grown a lot during the past few years in terms of its reputation.
Admission:
To be eligible for admission to Acharya Institute of Technology, one must appear in CET conducted by the Institute. The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the entrance examination.
Dayanand Sagar also conducts a Common Entrance Test for admission in B.E. programs. Students must have obtained at least 45% marks in their intermediate examination with PCM.
Placements:
The average package of AIT would hover around 3.2 LPA where DSTAM would go up to 3.5- 4 LPA.
Many top IT companies and few product-based software companies visit the DSTAM campus for recruitments each year.
Pre-final year students of the colleges receive a lot of support from Alumni network inform of internship and job offers in their startups.
Fee Structure:
Speaking of affordability both CMR and DSTAM cots much less than AIT, the former being just around 1 lakh per year, and the later is nearly 3 lakh per year.
The fee need to be paid for AIT for the four-year degree is almost 12 lakhs.
We can say that both AIT and DSTAM would be good and compelling options to opt for when looking for computer science admission. To add further the campus of DSTAM is right in the heart of the city.
So, to conclude if placements are of high priority ( which of course should be for CSE ), then Dayanand Sagar is a clear choice, but if the fee structure doesn’t match your comfort then AIT should be the immediate choice.
For CSE/IT, JUIT Waknaghat is a better option. It offers better academics and placements. From CSE, each year almost 100% of the students get placed. JUIT placement highlight shows the average package to be INR 4-5 LPA. Reputed companies such as Amazon, Adobe, etc. visit the campus drive for placements.
My cousin graduated from DTU in CS. According to him, these institutions can be ranked for CS in the following order-
DTU is considered one of the best Indian institutions for CS. Therefore, you should go for DTU if you get the opportunity. Every technical society at DTU, be it IEEE, ASME, CSI, IET, or even the small ones, gives great value to coding competitions. Thus, coding classes and competitions are held on a regular basis.
For those who want to work on real-use-productive coding instead of passive-competitive coding, there are many opportunities at DTU. DTU has several societies, and there are student entrepreneurs who are always in dire need of talented coders.
DTU also has a locational advantage. Being situated in the capital of India, it offers students great opportunities and exposure, not just industrial but of all types. Gurgaon is the IT hub and since you will spend 4 years of student life in Delhi, if you land a job in Gurgaon after graduating, you will have been accustomed to the region by that time.
The seniors at DTU are helpful and there is a strict anti-ragging policy on campus. The faculty consists of learned and helpful professors. The non-tech placements are also quite good at DTU.
DTU has huge brand value, long-standing history, and it is the mother of a lot of great colleges.
NIT Calicut is a good choice as well because it has a good placement record and an impressive infrastructure. In terms of location, however, DTU, NSUT, and IIIT Delhi are at an advantage.
You can consider all the above factors and finally decide which of these institutions is the right choice for you to pursue your CS.
First, you should decide which branch you want to pursue Mechanical or CSE, as that would help you choose the institute.
Thapar University which is the foremost university for Mechanical in the country ranked 29 among NIRF rankings. On the other hand, Bharati Vidyapeeth and Maharaja Agrasen, both the colleges are the foremost universities for CSE Branch in the country that placed 38th and 114 respectively.
About Courses And Admission:
All the Universities offer a full-time 4-year B.Tech program to the students. The basic eligibility of all the University is the student must have passed the 10+2 examination with any recognized board and the admission will be based on JEE Main Rank.
The table given below shows the fee structure of all three institutions:
Institutions |
Total Fee Structure |
Thapar University |
10.39 Lakhs (Mechanical) |
Bharti University |
4.35 Lakhs (CSE) |
Maharaja Agrasen University |
7.81 Lakhs (CSE) |
Internship And Placement Statistics:
Both the universities, Bharati Vidyapeeth and Maharaja Agrasen provide good placements CSE Branch.
World-class Faculty:
The CSE and Mechanical department of both the universities conducting professional activities such as organizing workshops, seminars, and expert lectures to gain insight and impart awareness about the challenges in the IT industry. However, considering all the aspects and the associated pros and cons, choice should be made.
IIT BHU CSE is a better option. It offers better placements. IIT BHU placements are amazing for CSE. Around 100% of students of the branch get placed with an average CTC of around INR 25 LPA. While the highest CTC offered is around INR 1.5 CPA. Companies such as Google, Microsoft, Facebook visit the campus placements frequently.
Being an IIT it also offers better facilities. The campus life of IIT BHU is also comparably better.
EEE is one of the premier undergraduate programs offered in the SSN College of Engineering. The EEE department consists of a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty of 30 members. The department emphasises sound practical knowledge while nurturing creativity in the students.
CSE at Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE) involves the study of computer programming, network, etc. The institute is affiliated to Anna University and approved by AICTE. It is ranked 56th in the engineering category by NIRF.

Finally, it is entirely upon the candidates’ choice of interest. Ultimately it is based on the subject on which you will be working hard and putting efforts. CSE will have its portion of electrical and electronics and vice versa.
One advantage of pursuing EEE is that you can specialize in one of its core subjects or switch to computer science. Moreover, every department has nowadays a computer programming course.
NIT Patna CSE earns significant points that make it better than IT at NIT Jalandhar.
For your final placements, you will have a chance at really good companies. The eligibility criteria for almost all CSE companies are fairly lax. Assume a CGPA of 6.5 to 7.0.
Companies that come to recruit always give CSE a preference over the corresponding IT branch in any college. Amazon, Adobe, Samsung, Samsung R&D, UHG, SAP Labs, Directi, Oracle Cloud Services, Oracle FSS, Zomato, Sprinkler, OYO, First American Pvt. Ltd., Factset, Oxigen, Verizon, Verity, Ericsson, MuSigma, Navriti, High Radius, Futures First, Smart Prix, Drishti, Polaris, Incture, Analytics Quotient, Sapient, Yodle, MAQ Software are among the companies that visit the campus.
