I am interested in marketing and operations. Which college should I choose for this - IMI Delhi or IIT Roorkee?
If you are a marketing enthusiast, IMI Delhi is a much preferable option for you. IIT Roorkee is known for its specialization in Operations and Systems only. To avail of an enriching B School experience one must try not to go for a technical institute unless it is IIT Bombay or IIT Delhi. While the Department of Managements of IITs do excel in Operations they lack in domains such as finance, marketing, HR, and strategic management. Only the exclusive B Schools excel in these specializations.
The main requisites of a rich B School life are
- Clubs and committees
- Excessive corporate exposure
- Relevant curriculum
Corporate exposure is sought through corporate competitions, guest lectures , conclaves, and live projects owing to alumni connections and the location advantage of being in Delhi or Mumbai. At a B School the clubs and committees are initiated and operated by Management students themselves whereas, at IITs, it’s the younger BTech graduates that do so.
So it’s the core B School life you will be missing out if you chose DOM at any Technical institute. No doubt the fees are much lower than an exclusive B School but you will be missing other things big time.
Does IIM Calcutta consider graduation marks for the short listing process?
No, IIM Calcutta doesn't consider your Graduation marks for its shortlisting.
However, it takes into consideration your graduation stream for the final admission offers. i.e. under the heading of `Academic Diversity`, it awards 2 points to non-engineering degrees.
What are my chances of getting into ISB Hyderabad or Mohali?
Firstly it's not up to you to choose Hyderabad or Mohali. You can just apply to ISB and the campus is allotted on the basis of a strange algorithm.
Now coming back to the question of your chances of getting into ISB, it seems I know nothing about your profile. I will state some general points regarding ISB Hyderabad admissions
- The first and foremost requirement is entrance exams like GMAT and GRE. The average is around 710 for GMAT and 325 for GRE.
- You need a minimum of 2 years of work experience
- You require and Letter of Recommendation and introspective essays
- You need to feel a comprehensive application form that attracts the judges

How can I gain admission to IIM Lucknow?
The first step to getting admission to IIM Lucknow is to apply for entrance exams. Several national-level entrance exams are accepted by the IIM Lucknow for admission to its Management programs. Some of them include
PGP: CAT
MBAEx: GMAT
DPM: CAT/ GMAT/ GRE/ GATE/ UGC-JRF
IIM Lucknow Sectional Cutoff is 85 Percentile while the Overall CAT Percentile is 90 for General Category.

So finally based on your CAT score, GDPI score and your academic record along with work experience your total will be calculated out of 100. The students will then be listed in descending order of their total score and top students will be made an admission offer.
Can I get admission in XLRI Jamshedpur if I graduated 2 years before with no work experience?
Two years is a significant career gap. After graduation, work experience can help with admissions. If you don't have any work experience, you still have a chance, but you will have to justify why there was a gap due to active pursuit rather than sloth or a lack of motivation.
You can say you were busy with hobbies, interests, a start-up, a blog, an internship, a certification course, a freelance job, or social services or apathy.
Can I get into MSU Baroda with 74.6 perfect in 12th? I want to get a BBA.
Yes, you can get into MSU Baroda for BBA with your profile. The eligibility criteria is to pass out of Class 12 with an aggregate of 45%. So you with 74.6 percent in 12th are more likely to get admitted into MSU.
The Admission for Academic Year 2022-2023 will be based on merit. The merit list will be prepared based on the 50% weightage of marks obtained in the Offline Written Entrance Test and the 50% weightage of marks obtained at the 12th standard.

Allahabad University conducts its own entrance exam and you can appear for it with appropriate eligibility.
- First of all, you have to fill the online application form on the official site of A.U.
- Later, the online admit card is released on the official website by the conducting authority, and then you can appear for the exam.
- The results are announced within 15-20 days.
- You can wait for the cut-offs and then head for the counseling.
Yes, there will be varying cut off for Main campus and its affiliated colleges. And as per your marks, you will be allotted the college. Moreover, there are separate exams held for Bsc and BA on different dates.
With 93.1/74/92.5 in 10, 12, UG with no work experience, how much percentile can get me SPJIMR, NMIMS, and baby IIM like Shillong?
Having no work experience is not the main barrier to get into B schools. Your 10th and UG marks are very good and 12th marks are decent, however, I want to make it clear that IIM Shillong is not among the baby IIMs or the new generation iims.
It is far better than new iims and making place among BLACKI. SPJIMR accepts CAT score for its admission and you will be requiring above 94 percentile for open category. NMIMS accept SNAP exam score. And for IIM shillong 95+ percentile is required.
Can I get a study visa for France without IELTS?
Yes, you can get a study visa without IELTS. Many countries provide study visas without IELTS if you have sound educational grades and meet all other requirements. You have to submit your application for a study visa. However, most of the French universities require IELTS or any English proficiency score as a basic admission requirement.
What are the requirements to get admission into NITIE Mumbai other than the GATE score?
To get admission into NITIE Mumbai, you are required to fill out the online application form available on the official website of the institution. If you get shortlisted for further rounds, you would get an invitation for the Group discussion and Personal Interview rounds. The sessions are usually half a day or a full day long.
