How are the placements at BIT Mesra for an IT branch?
One of my friends completed his BTech from BIT Mesra, and I got to know a little bit about the institute through him. The institute has a decent placement record. Almost 92% of students get placement offers with an average CTC of 6 LPA.

How is the ECE department, placements and opportunities in IET Lucknow?
The ECE department at IET Lucknow is not very impressive for pursuing higher education.
- Sessions are scheduled quite casually and are very rare.
- The placement it offers is similar to that of the other institutes which are affiliated with AKTU.
- Mass recruiters like TCS are among the only few good options available for candidates.
- IET is a Government Institute and hence the fee charged from candidates is lesser than that of Private institutions.
- The institute is quite popular among the student communities in the state of UP.

Did four students of IIT BHU get a package of 1.54 crore in placements 2019-20? From which branch are they?
The news is absolutely real and has been verified by IIT BHU officials. And as for their branches, one of them is from CSE, 2 from ECE and one from Electrical. However, those 1.54 Crore packages were from US-based companies where the Living costs and Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) is way higher than that of India. Generally, it includes stock options for 4 years and variable bonuses. The media shows the package without giving any insight into the package breakdown. It sometimes builds unjustified hype and unrealistic expectations for the students. However, the average package offered in IIT BHU was ranging between 10 LPA to 58 LPA.
How are the placements for a biotech in NSIT?
BioTech at NSUT Delhi is a unique branch of the institute in the sense that its syllabus is completely different from other branches except for the first year. While other branches have a few overlapping courses, BioTech has none. BioTech students have separate labs, subjects, practicals, etc. Here are some highlights of this branch.
- Few are interested in core jobs while some are coding enthusiasts who don’t get many opportunities in on-campus placements but perform well in off-campus placements.
- The students of this branch are actively involved in societies and clubs, ranging from DebSoc to Ashwamedha, Crescendo, and Mirage among others.
- BioTech students usually are passionate about research work. They work under the faculty and publish some really good research papers throughout their college life.
- Students with good grades have an edge in nontech jobs, society PORs, and even in higher education like MBA/IAS, etc.
- The most common choice of these students is to pursue a Master's or an MBA. Some secure core or nontech jobs as per their skills.
Overall the placements for the BioTech branch of NSUT Delhi are average with a mix of core and nin core opportunities.
How good is placement at ISB, Hyderabad compared to IIMs (since number of students are much more in ISB, leading to tough competition)?
When comparing the placements of the two, ISB and IIMs, the batch size hardly matters because both institutes market different products. The background and profiles of students of both institutes are too versatile to draw comparisons. If I roughly divide the ISB students and the kind of placement scenario they face then
- 90% of students get their dream jobs in the desired sector and company
- 10% of the students get jobs that are below their expectations but not worse enough to forgo the offers
So the batch size does not matter here and ISB Hyderabad placements are themselves quite satisfactory.
How are NIT-Jalandhar M.Tech placements? Specially for manufacturing technology.
M.Tech from NIT Jalandhar is not particularly useful for placement in manufacturing technology.
The reality is that M.Tech from NIT Jalandhar is like any other college, and NIT Jalandhar only focuses on placement for their Undergraduate students, though they may arrange a placement drive for M.Tech students if necessary. So, if a student is exceptionally bright and possesses exceptional practical knowledge, he will be chosen for campus placement.
Another issue is that there aren't enough companies in the region with manufacturing technology backgrounds.
How is placements condition in UIT RGPV Bhopal?

TCS Ninja, Hexaware, Infosys, etc. are among the major recruiters that hire through the campus drive. Branches such as CSE, and IT have a better placement record compared to the core branches. The number of core companies visiting the placement drive is very few.
Should I go for Metallurgy at NIT Raipur? How are the placements in the branch there?
NIT Raipur is a very good college and currently ranks at 67 in NIRF ranking among the top engineering institutes in India. And if you are a good student then maybe you can even get the CS branch as well.
Placements
- Various companies visited on campus for placements. In addition, the faculty will also train you to clear the aptitude test and focus mainly on the orientation of the students.
- The highest salary package offered was 7 lakh per year for metallurgy in software development, while the lowest was 4 lakh. So, on average, it went from 5 to 6 LPA, which is considered a decent package here in Raipur.
- Infosys, Wipro, and Trendence are the top recruiting companies. A total of 5 to 6 out of 50 students are placed in reputed companies of India.
However, if you want to pursue M.Tech in a good college, study well and sit for GATE instead. The department of Metallurgy is famous at NIT Raipur and can help you in getting good scores.
