Bhartiya Vidyapeeth is definitely a good college but it is known for its engineering and law degrees and not really for an MBA. So, if you are looking to study for an MBA in Pune, you should research other colleges.
Some of the better colleges here are MITSOM, Balaji, SIBM, SCMHRD as well as PUMBA.
However, if you are keen on going to Bhartiya Vidyapeeth only, the faculty is not that bad and the infrastructure is good too. You can enjoy different facilities with well-experienced faculty members that will ensure quality education.

XIMB HRM is among the top 5 HR courses in the country. The institute has a great curriculum for HRM. Attrition is low in HR, so you might not find newer roles. However, XIMB offers decent job roles to students.
HRM students are usually recruited in Talent Acquisition roles, Recruitment roles, etc. Students also receive lots of offers from Consulting companies. In general, roles offered by Consulting companies are Business HR or Analytics.
Last year, my sister was in similar confusion when she was asked to choose between IIT Roorkee and XIMB BM for her MBA. Torn between the two, she decided to do her part of the research on the basis of important parameters like roles offered, placement figures, batch size, and ROI.
Here are a few highlights from the research she conducted and the conclusions she drew:
Lastly, let’s discuss the most important aspect; placements with the help of table

Some of the prominent features of the NMIMS blended learning program include online weekend lectures, access to best-in-class content, academic excellence, case studies and assignments for every subject, accreditation, and recognition by UGC-DEB AICTE, online exams and submissions, personal contact sessions, student portal updates, and industry acceptance ratio.
It is essential to choose wisely when selecting a program. Consider your personal preferences and needs, as well as the offerings of each institute. With a blended learning experience and strong industry acceptance ratio, NMIMS is a great option to consider, especially for those who wish to pursue certification courses.
If you are considering business schools, then NMIMS Mumbai should be among your top choices as it is considered to be one of the best in the country.
It is worth noting that, in my experience, distance MBA programs are not as effective as in-person programs. While you may learn 50% of the material from academics, the other 50% comes from interacting and learning from your peers. In-person programs provide more opportunities for peer learning, which can be difficult to replicate in distance MBA programs.
For MBA in Pharma-Biotech, PUMBA is good in terms of placements. Here are the recent placement highlights of the branch.
Placement rate | 95% |
Highest CTC | 10 LPA |
Major recruiters | Eli Lilly, Alkem, Novartis |
Top roles offered | Market Analyst, Sales Executive, Research Intern |
As per the placement record of last few years, PUMBA average package for MBA Pharma-Biotech is around INR 4-7 LPA.
There is no such thing as lowest CTC in NICMAR. It's very clear that if you don't perform well during the interview you will not receive any job offers.
Now talking about the salary package, the batch of 2020 received an average package of 6.75 LPA. The placement percentage was recorded to be 99.2%
Coming to the question regarding how much you could expect depends upon various factors like your academic performance, the ongoing market scenarios, and your performance on the day. Additionally, if you have two years of work experience then it will all go well and you can even expect a package above 5 LPA.
As far as SIOM is concerned, it is one of the best institutions in the country for operation management. It is known to provide 100% placement but it is definitely lacking in basic amenities like infrastructure, decent faculty, good academic management as well as flexibility, and campus facilities. But, SIOM also has some really unique infrastructure like the SAP lab and supply chain software which you might not find in top universities either.
However, if you are okay with adjusting to these parameters and your only focus is on studying and you would like to build your career as an operation manager, SIOM is a really good option as you will come under the Symbiosis banner.
Moreover, you should go for SIOM only if you do not get a call from other universities like IIMs, NITIE, SP Jain, XLRI, NMIMS or JBIMS. You will notice that the packages are a little on the lesser side as compared to the mentioned colleges but it is quite acceptable if you are fresher. SIOM will give your career the boost it needs.
Amity Noida has 3 institutes, i.e. Amity Business School (ABS), AIBS (Amity International Business School), AGBS (Amity Global Business School).
ABS is quite reputed among students and worth every penny you spend there. However, Amity is not AICTE approved. Although the degrees offered by Amity are UGC recognized.
One of my friends did pursue his MBA from amity and he says he had a great experience. The faculty base at Amity is a mix of good and average teachers. The placement is quite good too with many MNCs visiting the campus for placements.
Here’s a brief highlight of the institute.

You should know that in order for any institute to be good, it should have a relevant curriculum that is delivered by competent faculty. It also needs to have a strong peer group with the institute generating good career opportunities for students. Here are some points you can evaluate with regards to Praxis:
