How can a student from poor family afford to study at IIM Ahmedabad? My father nearly had a heart attack when he heard about their fees structure. Is 25+ lakhs for a 2 year MBA program worth it?

TD
Tezal Dahiya Posted On : September 13th, 2023

I don’t think you should worry about the high fees at all since the banks on campus take care of 100% of your fees. All you need to do is show them your admission letter, and they will provide you with decent loans. Many banks are easy to give you loans of up to 30+ lakhs some without collateral too in the case of A, B, or C.

Once you have made it to IIM Ahmedabad you can change the date of your family. With enough hard work, you can land a job that will help you repay the loans within 3-4 Years.

So what you need to do is just become determined to work hard and earn your fees!

Teaching faculties are highly qualified and few of them even have industrial experiences who can guide you better on practical terms.

IMT Ghaziabad

When evaluating distance learning institutions, one important factor to consider is the availability of placement opportunities for students. A good distance-learning institute should provide students with ample opportunities to secure employment upon graduation, regardless of their current employment status.

Based on the information provided, it can be inferred that the institute in question is considered to be a very good option for distance learning. The institute provides placement opportunities to students starting from the end of their first semester and offers a variety of job posts with good packages. This indicates that the institute has a strong relationship with employers and is able to provide students with a range of employment options.

Additionally, the fact that the institute is able to provide employment opportunities to students who are already in the job field is a positive indication that the institute is able to cater to the diverse needs of its students. This is particularly important for working professionals who are looking to pursue higher education while maintaining their current job.

It's important to note that the distance learning program should be accredited and recognized by the relevant authorities and it should have a good track record of students' placement and career growth. It's also important to look at the curriculum, faculty, and support services offered by the institute before making a decision. Ultimately, it's best to research the institution thoroughly, speak with current students or alumni, and carefully consider all factors before making a decision.

For getting admission into the MBA program at MSU Baroda, you will need to take CMAT. If you get a decent rank, you can apply for the program through the ACPC website. You can fill out your choice for college on the website. If your clear the required cutoff for that year, you will be allotted a seat in FMS (Faculty of Management Studies) MSU.

Is it worth doing MBA from Delhi university- MBE and DFS colleges? What are the average packages?

AB
Akriti Banerjee Posted On : September 12th, 2023
lives in New Delhi

MBA programs from Delhi University's MBE and DFS colleges have a good reputation and are considered to be reputable institutions. Usually, the average salary for MBA graduates from Delhi University's MBE and DFS colleges is around INR 12-15 LPA. However, an MBA is not just about the salary package. It is a great way to develop your leadership, management, and strategic thinking skills, which can be beneficial regardless of your career path.

I feel it's totally worth doing an MBA from DFS as it offers specialized courses in Financial Management with a primary focus on finance. It offers the best ROI amongst the top colleges in the country. Its fee is as low as INR 26k while the average package hovers around 12-15 LPA.

Overall, DFS and MBE are not comparable with prestigious colleges like FMS and IIMs but are a great platform for Management education.

How is IET Lucknow for an MBA?

SK
Shreya Kulkarni Posted On : August 3rd, 2021
Studies MBA at IIM Ahmedabad 2021

One of my friends is a recent alumni of the institute. According to him it is a really good institute. Let me share his experience which might help you get to know the college better.

  • A few years back, IET Lucknow offered MBA only in HR, Marketing, Finance, IT, and IB.
  • In case you want to go for IT or IB, you might have to study yourselves, without the assistance of the faculty.
  • The professors are usually supportive and extremely co-operative. However, their pedagogy is not as best as you can possibly anticipate. Most of the faculty is contract based.
  • Fundamentally, the HOD and the office boy are possibly the only permanent members of the institute.
  • The fees, however, are extremely low. It is 60,000 to 70,000 for a period of 2 years.
  • You should obtain a very good rank so as to enroll at IET Lucknow. My friend mainly secured the position of 72nd in the general category.
  • The placements for MBA students is not particularly the best.
Categories MBA at IET Lucknow
Course Fee 79,775 (1st year)
Course Duration 2 years
Highest CTC 20-30 LPA
Average CTC 8-10 LPA
Recruiting Companies IBM, Infosys, Accenture, Cognizant, etc.

You can choose enrolling at IET Lucknow since it is better than most other other institutes located in vicinity of it. Since IET Lucknow is also affordable, the general pressure of loans usually gets off the shoulders of students.

I currently have a salary of 25L as a product manager. Is it worth it doing an MBA further at ISB, Hyderabad or in US universities? I want to do entrepreneurship, and a MBA for networking

Former Co-founder & COO/Head of Admissions (2017–2019)

Since your main goal is to grow a stronger network, considering US universities is of no use. However, if you are okay with developing international networks US universities are a viable option.

Comparing ISB Hyderabad with a US university is a lengthy discussion. Your choice should depend on whether you are planning to settle abroad or settle within India. If your ultimate goal is settling abroad, US universities should be your only option.

If we compare the pay structure, the average package offered at ISB Hyderabad is nearly the same as your current salary whereas US universities offer 7 times better salaries.

Both options require a lot of effort from the initial stage. To get into either, you need a spectacular profile and an impactful application strategy.

Should I go for an MBA in IIM Indore or wait another year for better opportunities?

PS
Paheli Sinha Posted On : May 28th, 2022
studied at Indian Institute of Management Indore

You should go for IIM Indore. It is a reputed B-School with excellent facilities and academics. IIM Indore placements are also pretty good. During the 2022 campus drive, students received an average CTC of INR 25 LPA. BMW, Cisco, and Accenture Strategy were some of the major recruiters. Joining IIM Indore will be worth the investment.

CAT is highly competitive. You can’t be certain that you will get a good score next year. So, joining IIM Indore will be a wise choice.

Will I get a good placement with 70% in 10th, 70% in 12th, 63% in graduation, and an MBA from FMS Delhi?

AR
Arun Rajagopal Posted On : December 29th, 2022
Studied at Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi

If you are concerned about your past academic records then rest assured for the final placements don’t usually pay much attention to past academic records.

MBA is much more than just learning and writing your answers and scoring good marks. It is more about applying logic and increasing your decision-making skills. So to compensate for your poor past academic performance, become a part of the managerial committee and improve your resume. Enhancing your decision-making and managerial skills will increase your chances of getting a good placement than your academic background.

Also, FMS in itself is a brand name that will fetch you a good package.
