I have a few friends from NIT Trichy, so I think I can answer this question.
- MCA at NIT Trichy is a 3 years course. The faculty here is a mixed one. Some of them are really good and well-experienced while some of them are average.
- A student for MCA spends most of his time in Octagon or Annex computer labs. Students are generally placed by the end of the 2nd year and the ones who are left out definitely get a chance in the 3rd year. They also provide internship opportunities.
- The placement stat speaks for itself. There are students who have been placed with a package of 40 lakhs per annum while some of them have got placed with 18 lakhs per annum. The majority of the students are placed with average packages ranging near 15-20 lakhs per annum.
Overall, NIT Trichy is a decent option for doing your MCA.
